Muong Lat district has over 108km of border with Sop Bau and Vieng Xay districts, Hua Phan province (Laos). In recent times, Muong Lat district has stepped up coordination with Laos to disseminate to the majority of people in the border areas the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on territorial sovereignty , national borders, and the border agreements and regulations signed by both sides.
On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2023), the delegation of Border Protection Company 214 under the Military Command of Hua Phan Province and Vieng Xay District Police (Hua Phan, Laos) visited and congratulated the Border Guard stations stationed in Muong Lat district, including: Pu Nhi, Quang Chieu, Tam Chung, Ten Tan Border Gate.

Through the visit, the two countries aim to strengthen the spirit of solidarity, friendship and coordination in performing the task of protecting the sovereignty and security of the border.
On this occasion, Border Guard Company 214, Vieng Xay District Police (Laos) and border posts stationed in Muong Lat District agreed to continue implementing cooperation contents in managing and protecting border security sovereignty, maintaining security and order in the border area, especially in coordinating patrolling, managing and protecting border lines and landmarks; fighting against all kinds of crimes, preventing and combating illegal entry and exit...
Also on the occasion of National Day September 2, border guards stationed in Muong Lat district coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to present national flags to people in border areas.
This is a meaningful activity to arouse the spirit of patriotism, revolutionary sentiment, and deep gratitude of the People towards the Party and beloved Uncle Ho; at the same time, it demonstrates the close solidarity between the Border Guard officers and soldiers with the local Party Committees, authorities and People in the border areas, contributing to firmly protecting the territorial sovereignty and national border security. The above activities have contributed to strengthening the long-standing relationship between the People on both sides of the border, contributing to maintaining stability, creating conditions for local socio -economic development, building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative border for mutual development./.
