National Economics University has a new director

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Deputy Director of National Economics University, was appointed to the position of Director from August 1, 2025.

According to the decision of the National Economics University Council, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong, Deputy Director of the National Economics University, was appointed to the position of Director to replace Professor Dr. Pham Hong Chuong who retired according to the regime.

Associate Professor Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong was born in 1973. He graduated from the National Economics University in 1994 and was retained at the university. He then studied for a Master's degree in Business Administration at Boise State University, USA, completing it in 1997, and then returned to Vietnam to do research at his old school. He received the title of Associate Professor in 2011.

During his career, he has held the positions of lecturer, secretary of the International Economics and Business Faculty Union, deputy director of the international business consulting and training center, chief of office, director of the Institute of Advanced and High-quality Training, and deputy director of the university.

The National Economics University was established in 1956 with the original name of the School of Economics and Finance. In November 2024, the school became a university, along with 8 other universities: Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Thai Nguyen University, Hue University, Da Nang University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, and Duy Tan University.
