The Congress of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee was a great success.

After two days of urgent, serious and democratic work, on the afternoon of September 23, the first Congress of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, closed successfully.

The Congress reviewed the implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term on the basis of the Resolution of the Congresses of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee and the Bac Kan Provincial Party Committee before the merger.

The Congress also determined the direction, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term; reviewed the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The Congress listened to the direction of General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member and Minister of National Defense.

The Congress discussed and contributed opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The Congress announced the Politburo's decisions appointing the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 65 comrades.

Comrade Trinh Viet Hung, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, holds the position of Provincial Party Secretary; Deputy Secretaries include: Nguyen Dang Binh, Pham Hoang Son, and Dinh Quang Tuyen. The Provincial Party Standing Committee consists of 17 comrades.

In the 2025-2030 term, Thai Nguyen identified 36 main targets in the fields of economy, culture-society, environment, national defense-security and Party building.

The main targets include: every year over 90% of grassroots party organizations and party members are evaluated and classified as having completed their tasks well or better; the rate of new party members admitted every year is 3% or more compared to the total number of party members of the provincial Party Committee at the beginning of the term.

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices by 2030 will reach VND361.6 trillion. Economic structure: Industry and construction 54.6%; services and product taxes minus product subsidies 36.5%; agriculture, forestry and fishery 8.9%.

The economic growth rate (GRDP) at comparable prices is on average 10.5%/year or more. The average GRDP per capita by 2030 will reach 220 million VND. Strive for the period 2026-2030, the proportion of added value of the digital economy in Thai Nguyen province's GRDP to reach about 35%...

The population by 2030 will reach 1,845.7 thousand people. The average population growth rate will reach 1.52%. By 2030, the average life expectancy will reach 75.5 years or more; the human development index (HDI) will reach 0.79 or more; the number of employed workers in the economy will reach 826 thousand people or more; there will be 19 doctors and 50 hospital beds per 10,000 people or more; universal health insurance coverage will be achieved; the average income per capita will be 1.5 times higher than in 2025...

To realize these targets, the first Congress of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, set out 7 key tasks and 3 development breakthroughs focusing on the following areas: Developing synchronous and modern infrastructure; Developing science and technology, innovation, digital transformation and improving the quality of human resources; Developing the private economy to become the most important driving force of the economy and developing a green economy and a circular economy.

The province clearly identified 19 groups of solutions in four areas, specifically: Party building and political system; economic development, science and technology, environmental protection; strong and comprehensive development of cultural and social fields; strengthening national defense and security work, and performing well in foreign affairs.

The Congress also focused on discussions in groups and halls to contribute ideas to the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party and the draft Political Report to be submitted to the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, the draft Review Report of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Executive Committee, term 2020-2025, and the draft Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 1st Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

The Congress announced the Politburo's decision to appoint a delegation of 35 comrades from Thai Nguyen province to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The Congress reached a high consensus and voted to pass the Resolution of the 1st Congress of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

In his closing speech at the congress, Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung emphasized that the success of the congress is a milestone, opening a new development period for Thai Nguyen province.

He suggested that agencies, units and organizations must widely disseminate the contents of the Congress resolution to all classes of people; promptly develop and deploy action programs; and bring Thai Nguyen to rapid and sustainable development.
