Vietnamese Ambassador presents credentials to Egyptian President

On October 27, at the Presidential Palace in Cairo, Egypt, Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong presented the Letter of Credentials from President Luong Cuong to President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi, officially beginning his term as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Ambassador respectfully conveyed the regards and best wishes of President Luong Cuong to President El-Sisi, the government and people of Egypt; at the same time expressed the determination to strengthen the development of relations between the two countries, especially focusing on implementing the results of President Luong Cuong's state visit to Egypt in August 2025, which upgraded the framework of relations to Comprehensive Partnership.

Upgrading the framework of relations to Comprehensive Partnership reflects the stature of the two countries' relationship in the new period, establishing higher political trust at all levels; expanding the scale and level of cooperation in a more comprehensive, substantive and profound direction in all fields.

The upgrade also promotes and strengthens new cooperation mechanisms on the basis of respect for international law, independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and political systems of each country.

To realize the vision of the Comprehensive Partnership, the two countries agreed to promote cooperation in key areas such as politics - security, economy, agriculture, science and technology, etc.

Egyptian President El-Sisi congratulated Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong on his new assignment, expressing his good impressions and feelings for the country and people of Vietnam.

Mr. El-Sisi said that the State and he personally highly appreciated the developments in the relationship between the two countries in recent times and affirmed that they will pay special attention to promoting the Vietnam-Egypt relationship to develop even stronger.
