The Vietnamese Ambassador presents his credentials to the President of Egypt.

On October 27th, at the Presidential Palace in Cairo, Egypt, Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong presented his credentials from President Luong Cuong to President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi, officially beginning his term as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Ambassador respectfully conveyed the greetings and best wishes of President Luong Cuong to President El-Sisi, the government and people of Egypt; and expressed his determination to strengthen the development of relations between the two countries, especially focusing on implementing the results of President Luong Cuong's state visit to Egypt in August 2025, which upgraded the framework of relations to a Comprehensive Partnership.

Upgrading the framework of relations to a Comprehensive Partnership reflects the stature of the bilateral relationship in a new phase, establishing higher political trust at all levels; expanding the scale and level of cooperation in a more comprehensive, substantive, and profound direction across all fields.

The upgrade also promotes and strengthens new cooperation mechanisms based on respect for international law, independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the political system of each country.

To realize the vision of the Comprehensive Partnership, the two countries agreed to strengthen cooperation in key areas such as political-security, economic, agricultural, and science and technology.

Egyptian President El-Sisi congratulated Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong on his new assignment, expressing his positive impressions and feelings towards the country and people of Vietnam.

Mr. El-Sisi stated that the State and he personally highly appreciate the developments in relations between the two countries in recent times and affirmed that they will pay special attention to promoting the Vietnam-Egypt relationship to develop even more strongly.
