According to statistics, in 2024, Dai Tu district has 3,716 poor and near-poor households (of which 1,890 are poor households and 1,826 are near-poor households). By August 30, 2024, the number of poor and near-poor households with difficult housing conditions was 165 (an increase of 77 households compared to the results of the review at the beginning of the year, due to household separation and continued housing degradation). Of which, the number of households with sufficient conditions and resources to implement was 98.
From the funding sources of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the District Fund for the Poor, support from Military Region I, and funds mobilized by the district's political and social organizations, the district has started construction of 54 new houses (24 houses have been completed), the remaining are preparing to start construction and have committed to complete in 2024.
In Ban Ngoai commune, Dai Tu district, with the initiative in implementing local poverty reduction programs, the commune has been actively supporting poor and near-poor households to develop the economy , especially stabilizing housing.
In November 2024, Mr. Nguyen Manh Thang's family (La Lang hamlet, Cat Ne commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province) received financial support of 60 million VND to build a solidarity house. Mr. Thang shared: My family is in difficult circumstances, the house we are living in is dilapidated, old and potentially unsafe. Due to the difficult circumstances of the family, the dream of a new house is really far away, but with the attention and support of the local government, my family is very happy, because in just a few months we will be living in a new, spacious, solid house, no longer worrying about the rain and wind.
Sharing the joy with Mr. Nguyen Manh Thang's family, Mr. Le Van Quyet's family (in Thuan Phong hamlet, Binh Thuan commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province) also received support of 60 million VND to build a new, spacious and solid house in November 2024.
Mr. Quyet said excitedly: Our family lives mainly on agriculture, with unstable income and poor health, so we have been a poor household in the commune for many years. We have just received financial support to build a solidarity house. We don't know what else to say, but we can only thank the Party, the State, and the local government for always caring for and taking care of the lives of people in difficult circumstances.
After receiving the funds, with the help of the people in the neighborhood, our family will start building a new house. With a new house, we are very secure and will try to work hard to stabilize our lives.
Discussing this issue, Ms. Hoang Thi Bach Yen, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province, said: Many units and localities in the district have done a good job of mobilizing local resources and registering to build houses according to plan, typically, such as: District Women's Union, District Labor Federation, District Youth Union; communes: Luc Ba, Phuc Linh, Minh Tien, An Khanh, Na Mao, Van Yen, Phuc Luong and Hung Son town.
However, during the implementation process, there are still limitations and difficulties such as the review work is not close, not implemented in accordance with the instructions of the superior documents, leading to inaccurate review, not enough legal documents to request support according to regulations. The development of the Implementation Plan for Project 02/DA-MTTQ-BTT and the organization of implementation are still slow; some difficulties and problems arise in the process of implementing land procedures at the local level (land disputes, some households are elderly, disabled, unable to respond...).
In the coming time, the Fatherland Front Committee of Dai Tu district will continue to mobilize resources to implement the plan to build great solidarity houses, thereby contributing to the completion of the criteria for the advanced new rural district in 2024; focus on removing difficulties for households in transfer procedures, procedures for granting and exchanging land use rights in accordance with the planning; urge the progress of housing construction in the area, complete the settlement records of completed houses for timely disbursement; strengthen inspection and supervision to ensure progress according to the set plan.
The District Fatherland Front Committee also hopes that the District People's Committee will direct specialized agencies and People's Committees of communes and towns to take action, organize the construction of houses, resolve difficulties in land procedures, advise on resolving problems related to granting land use right certificates to households interested in reserving land use purpose conversion quotas for poor and near-poor households in need to implement housing support according to regulations.
At the same time, the People's Committees and Fatherland Front Committees of communes and towns need to strengthen propaganda and mobilization from benefactors to support housing difficulties, especially mobilizing elderly and single households who are past working age, disabled, and unable to work to live with their children and grandchildren to reduce difficulties for individuals and society.
