This is a specific goal set by Dak Glong district in its plan to implement the Investment Project to support the development of valuable medicinal plant growing areas under the National Target Program for socio -economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas, Phase I, 2021-2025.

The district aims to establish a standardized area for preservation, preliminary processing, processing, and extraction of medicinal herbs by 2025; and to create at least two sustainable medicinal herb products with traceable origins and guaranteed quality.
The district is applying information technology to build a system connecting the value chain of medicinal herbs and traditional medicine products, ensuring traceability, quality management, and trade promotion.
The district strives to create jobs and stable income for at least 300 local workers; of which at least 50% are ethnic minorities in the area.
