Dak Nong meets to discuss solutions to overcome difficulties of some major projects

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to discuss solutions to overcome difficulties of a number of major projects in the province.

On the morning of May 29, comrade Le Trong Yen, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee for the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) Expressway Construction Investment Project; the progress of handling and overcoming incidents at the Dak N'ting Reservoir; and the project to repair and overcome incidents at the Ho Chi Minh Road section through Nghia Thanh Ward, Gia Nghia City.

At the meeting, the Department of Construction reported on the implementation of the investment project to build the North-South Expressway in the West, section Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh ( Binh Phuoc ).

Accordingly, the current difficulties and problems of the project lie in component project 4. Compensation and resettlement support for the section passing through Dak Nong province have not been appraised and approved because the total investment exceeds the approved investment policy of 662 billion VND.

Representative of Dak Nong Province Department of Construction reported difficulties and problems related to the investment project to build the North-South Expressway in the West, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) section.

For the Dak N'ting Reservoir project, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board has proposed a plan to implement incident remediation from the State budget. The total investment of the project after adjustment and supplementation is expected to be over 160.8 billion VND, of which the total additional investment to remedy the incident is 23.1 billion VND.

The Committee proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct the Department of Finance to review and advise on budget allocation to pay for the implementation of emergency response plans to minimize landslides; budget for payment of consulting results, inspection and assessment of causes...

The Board expects to complete the fix in December 2026.

Dak Nong Province Construction Investment Project Management Board has proposed a plan to overcome the incident at Dak N'ting reservoir.

Regarding the project to repair and overcome landslides on the Ho Chi Minh road, according to the report of Duc Long Dak Nong BOT & BT Joint Stock Company, by May 28, 2025, the consulting unit had completed updating and completing the documents.

The investor is reviewing and compiling the documents and is expected to submit the documents to the Department of Construction for appraisal on May 30, 2025. According to the plan, appraisal and approval of the project feasibility study report will be completed before June 30, 2025; construction will be organized and completed and put into use before September 15, 2026.

The investor recommends that the People's Committee assign the competent authority to soon provide specific instructions on the location of the dumping site and the embankment material mine; provide instructions or issue notices on the price of embankment materials; update the unit prices of some materials such as sand, stone, cement, etc. so that the investor and the consulting unit have a basis to update the unit prices and estimate the total investment of the Project to ensure correctness, completeness and legality.

At the meeting, departments and branches had many opinions to discuss the implementation, coordination and overcoming the difficulties and obstacles mentioned so that the projects can be ensured according to the schedule that the construction investors have planned.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Le Trong Yen, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested investors and related departments, branches and localities to seriously and effectively implement assigned plans and tasks on the basis of clearly identifying people, tasks, time and reaching final results.

All tasks must be carried out simultaneously to meet the time and progress. Departments, branches and localities, according to their functions, must focus on monitoring and urging the implementation of projects. In case of difficulties or problems, they must be handled by the province to have a plan to handle them immediately.
