Dak Nong strengthens prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic

As of May 14, Vietnam has recorded 148 cases of Covid-19 in 27 provinces and cities, with no deaths or concentrated outbreaks. However, the number of cases has been increasing in the past 3 weeks, averaging 20 cases per week.

In Dak Nong province, 6 cases of Covid-19 were recorded, including Dak Mil has 5 cases; Cu Jut has 1 case.

To proactively respond to the Covid-19 epidemic situation in the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee requests departments, branches, associations, unions, armed forces of the province and People's Committees of districts and cities based on their functions and tasks to proactively coordinate with the health sector to organize propaganda on Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control according to the recommendations of competent authorities.

If you have symptoms of fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, you must immediately go to the nearest medical facility for examination, monitoring, and timely treatment.

The Department of Health has stepped up the implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures at medical facilities and in the community. The health sector is ready to admit, provide emergency care, and effectively treat cases of the disease, especially in high-risk groups such as pregnant women, people with underlying diseases, the elderly, etc. to prevent deaths. The health sector has stepped up proactive surveillance to promptly detect cases and outbreaks at medical facilities, communities,educational institutions, and border areas through infectious disease surveillance systems; promptly take measures to prevent the disease from spreading to the community.

Plans for patient admission and treatment and proactively improving treatment capacity, especially emergency and intensive care capacity to meet treatment requirements; ensuring logistics, funding, drugs, vaccines, biological products, supplies, chemicals, equipment, human resources for epidemic prevention and control... need to be prepared.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Dak Nong Newspaper, Dak Nong Radio and Television Station have increased communication about the risks of the Covid-19 epidemic so that people can proactively monitor their health status and take measures to prevent and combat Covid-19 for themselves, their families and close contacts.

Agencies and units proactively coordinate with the Department of Health to regularly update information on the epidemic situation, recommending people to: wear masks in public places, on public transport, at medical facilities; limit gatherings in crowded places; wash hands regularly with clean water, soap or antiseptic solution; increase physical activity, physical training, and proper nutrition; when having symptoms of fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, go immediately to the nearest medical facility for timely examination, monitoring and treatment.
