Dak To organizes the 11th District Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028

On May 30, 100 official delegates representing more than 1,900 union members and workers of 64 grassroots trade union organizations in the district attended the 11th Dak To District Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028.

Over the past 5 years, under the leadership of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the contingent of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the district has developed in quantity and quality, diversified in the structure of occupations; has strong political qualities and mettle, and the will to be self-reliant and self-reliant to overcome all challenges; the cadres and public employees are always the leading force in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country; plays a core role in the alliance of workers, farmers and intellectuals; sets an example in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, making an important contribution to socio-economic development, ensuring social order and safety in the locality.

Through many practical activities and active implementation of movements launched by the higher-level trade unions; in 5 years, it has supported the construction of 25 and repaired 10 union shelters to help union members in difficult circumstances have housing and work with peace of mind. On the occasion of holidays and Tet, trade unions at all levels also organized visits, gave gifts, and awarded scholarships to children of workers with a total amount of more than 5 billion VND. During the Covid-19 pandemic, hundreds of millions of VND were donated to quarantine areas of districts, provinces, and southern provinces; dozens of tons of rice, instant noodles, necessities, vegetables and fruits were supported for localities in epidemic areas, in order to contribute to repelling the epidemic from the community.

With those contributions, the Trade Unions and employees at all levels of the district were awarded the Emulation Flag by the Prime Minister to 1 collective and 1 individual; the President awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to 1 individual; the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 collectives and 8 individuals; awarded the "For the cause of building trade union organizations" Medal to 29 union members; the Provincial Labor Federation awarded Certificates of Merit to 32 collectives and 68 individuals...

Based on the identified goals, the Congress unanimously proposed 16 targets and 8 groups of solutions to be implemented in the 2018-2023 term, determined to build a strong Trade Union organization, to strengthen the construction of the Vietnamese working class in the period of industrialization, modernization and international integration, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

With the spirit of "Innovation, democracy, solidarity, development", the Congress elected a new 15-member District Trade Union Executive Committee and elected 10 delegates to attend the Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term.
