Ensuring labor safety in construction of traffic infrastructure works

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just sent a document to the Department of Construction, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Provincial Agricultural and Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Zone Management Board, requesting to strengthen the work of ensuring labor safety in the construction of traffic infrastructure works.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province assigned project management boards to strictly implement labor safety work on works and projects assigned to them as investors; review, inspect, and urge construction units to fully implement labor training programs and periodic health checks for workers according to the set plan; direct construction units to fully arrange personal protective equipment for workers on the construction site; develop a response program for emergency situations that may occur on the construction site. For investors, it is necessary to regularly inspect the site, at the same time, direct the supervision consultant unit and construction units to regularly review to promptly detect locations at risk of insecurity and landslides and take measures to ensure safety for people, machinery, equipment, and construction vehicles, especially during the rainy and stormy season.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Construction to strengthen management, inspection and examination to ensure labor safety in the construction of transport infrastructure projects being deployed in the province; promptly report and ask for instructions on contents under its authority.
