Alex Baena appeared with a swollen eye after taking a punch from Valverde
As is known, after the match between Villarreal and Real Madrid, Federico Valverde blocked Alex Baena's way in the bus parking lot, before throwing a punch at his opponent's face. Afterwards, the Villarreal player appeared with a black eye.
The reason is that in January this year, Alex Baena had insulted Federico Valverde's family when the two teams met in the Spanish King's Cup. Alex Baena leaned into his opponent's ear and said: "Cry, your child will not be born."

The statement came at a time when the Real Madrid star's beloved wife was having health problems and was at risk of miscarriage. Fortunately, Federico Valverde's wife has overcome the danger and the fetus is healthy. However, the Uruguayan star has remembered his feud with Alex Baena.
After being assaulted by Federico Valverde, Alex Baena decided to sue. Villarreal's homepage announced: "Alex Baena was assaulted last night while on his way to the bus after the match against Real Madrid. Faced with this situation, the Villarreal player filed a complaint against the perpetrator with the Spanish Anti-Violence Commission. Villarreal Club strongly opposes all acts of violence. We will support our player in the lawsuit process."

It is worth mentioning that if Alex Baena submits a petition to the La Liga Organizing Committee, the Real Madrid player risks receiving a suspension of up to 12 matches. Villarreal FC did not report to La Liga but left the matter to Alex Baena himself.
If Federico Valverde is suspended for a long period, it will be a big loss for Real Madrid. However, many Los Blancos fans have voiced their support for the Uruguayan star's actions to protect his family.
