Dear comrades of the Communist Party of Vietnam ,

On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Communist Party of the Peoples of Spain, I would like to express my deepest condolences on the passing of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong.

We have heard of the great efforts of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong as the head of the Communist Party of Vietnam, despite his old age and poor health. Once again, the dedication of the revolutionaries to the noble cause of the people is demonstrated in their close relationship with the masses and their complete trust in them.

The Communist Party of the Peoples of Spain recognizes and admires the heroic Vietnamese people who wrote glorious pages of history in the fight against French colonialism and American imperialism to protect national sovereignty .

From the Dien Bien Phu campaign, the Tet Offensive, the Gulf of Tonkin incident, to the victory recognized in the Paris Agreement in 1973, these are events that honor the names of talented leaders such as Vo Nguyen Giap and Ho Chi Minh. And now, comrade Nguyen Phu Trong also deserves to be listed in this leadership team.

Dear comrades of the Communist Party of Vietnam, we would like to send you our deepest condolences beyond the framework and rules between political parties. Regarding internationalism, the Communist Party of the Peoples of Spain always maintains a spirit of peace and respects the sovereignty of political parties to build friendly relations based on sincerity and mutual trust.

Finally, once again we would like to express our condolences to the Vietnamese people, family and friends of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, who left behind a legacy of honesty, wisdom, experience and tireless dedication.
