VHO - On the morning of October 18, at the National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc Monument Park, An Giang province solemnly held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the 157th anniversary of the sacrifice of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc (1868 - 2025).

Previously, on the evening of October 17, at the National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc Monument Park, a mobile film screening program took place on the big screen introducing a documentary about the life and career of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc; at the same time, the opening of the "Southern Amateur Music Space" took place.

This is an opportunity for people and tourists from near and far to enjoy precious films about the national hero, and at the same time immerse themselves in the unique musical space of the Southern region - where the art of Southern amateur music (an intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO) continues to be honored, preserved and promoted. Artists and amateurs inside and outside the province have exchanged and shared their feelings through each sound of the instrument and each song, simple, profound, imbued with national identity.

Also within the framework of the festival, the opening art program with the theme "The heroic spirit of Nguyen Trung Truc - An Giang firmly steps towards the future" brought the audience many emotions. The opening performance was the performance "The heroic spirit is like red" with a solemn introduction recreating the image of the hero who left the immortal saying: "When the West has uprooted all the grass in the South, then the South will no longer fight the West." Next was the cai luong opera "Nguyen Trung Truc - The Immortal's Name", along with the performances "Epic of Heroism", "Nguyen Trung Truc - The Immortal's Name", "Heroic Spirit" performed by People's Artist Trong Phuc and artists and actors of the An Giang Provincial Center for Culture and Arts.
