Up 3 places, Vietnam team rises to 111th in the world

VHO - According to the October 2025 rankings of the World Football Federation (FIFA), the Vietnam team has risen to 111th place in the world.

During FIFA Days in October 2025, the Vietnamese team had two consecutive victories against Nepal with scores of 3-1 and 1-0 in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.

This achievement helped the team gain 13.7 points. With the added points, the “Golden Star Warriors” increased 3 places, from 114th to 111th in the world.

The three-place increase in the FIFA rankings brings many positives to the team led by coach Kim Sang-sik.

Ranking 111th in the world helps the Vietnamese team improve its position in the region and opens up the opportunity to return to the top 100 in the near future.

In November, the Vietnamese team will play away to Laos in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup. If they win, the team will continue to improve their ranking and hope to qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup finals.

Malaysia got 13.3 points and increased 5 places, from 123 to 118 in the world, number 3 in Southeast Asia.

In Asia, Japan is still number 1 (ranked 19th), followed by Iran (ranked 21st) and South Korea (ranked 22nd).

At the top of the rankings, Spain is still number 1 in the world after FIFA Days in October. Next in line are Argentina, France, England, Portugal, etc.
