The 55th memorial service for President Ho Chi Minh was held at the K9 Relic Site (Da Chong, Ba Vi, Hanoi ).

On the morning of August 24 (July 21 of the lunar calendar), at the K9 Relic Site (Da Chong, Ba Vi, Hanoi), the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command solemnly held the 55th Memorial Ceremony of President Ho Chi Minh's death anniversary. Major General Dinh Quoc Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee of Group 969, Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command chaired the ceremony.

Attending the ceremony were Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Colonel Nguyen Hoang An, Deputy Head of the Mausoleum Management Board, Deputy Commander of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command; leaders and former leaders of the Mausoleum Management Board; representatives of central and local agencies; commanders of agencies, units, academies, schools, enterprises, organizations and individuals inside and outside the Army, and representatives of leaders and commanders of agencies and units in the Mausoleum Management Board, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command, the Guard Command, and the Ministry of Public Security .

In an emotional and solemn atmosphere, delegates respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero, Outstanding Cultural Celebrity, who brought glory to our nation and our country.

55 years ago, at 09:47 on September 2, 1969 (July 21, Ky Dau year), President Ho Chi Minh passed away forever. His passing left behind endless sorrow for our entire Party, people, army and friends all over the world.

Throughout his revolutionary life, from his youth until his passing, President Ho Chi Minh devoted his whole life to the revolutionary cause of the Party, the nation and the revolutionary movement of the people of the world.

He found the way to save the country and the people; founded, led and trained our Party; gave birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam; guided and showed the way for the Vietnamese revolution to move forward step by step, from one victory to another. The Vietnamese generation today and tomorrow will forever remember and be grateful for his great contributions.

Reporting to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, Major General Dinh Quoc Hung said: Over the past years, under the leadership of the Party and his blessing, our country has overcome many difficulties and challenges; the country continues to develop in all aspects. The economic and social situation has been well maintained, people's lives have been constantly cared for; sovereignty over borders and islands has been firmly maintained, national defense, security and foreign affairs have been strengthened. The country has achieved many very important and comprehensive achievements, creating many outstanding marks; the people are united, absolutely trusting in the leadership of the Party and the success of the renovation process. Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today.

For the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command, with the protection of his spirit, the attention of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, ministries, branches, agencies, central and local units, cadres, employees, soldiers, and workers have always been united, active, proactive, creative, self-reliant, overcoming all difficulties and challenges to successfully complete all assigned tasks. Among them, there is the task of coordinating to absolutely ensure security and safety of the Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, and the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs; solemnly performing rituals and ceremonies in organizing the ceremony to visit Uncle Ho, the ceremony to commemorate Heroes and Martyrs and the daily flag-raising ceremony in front of the Mausoleum; welcoming and attentively serving compatriots and international guests coming to visit Uncle Ho; visiting the Mausoleum area, commemorating Heroes and Martyrs; offering incense to commemorate Uncle Ho, planting souvenir trees, visiting the K9 relic site and political and cultural activities, etc.

Before his spirit, Major General Dinh Quoc Hung, on behalf of the delegates, promised Uncle Ho: Continue to follow the path that the Party and Uncle Ho have chosen; unite and strive to excellently fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party, State, Army and People; contribute to building Vietnam to be more and more dignified and beautiful as Uncle Ho always wished for during his lifetime, for the goal of a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization./.
