Petrolimex Party Committee held a conference to disseminate and summarize Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW

On January 2, 2025, the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group ( Petrolimex / Party Committee of the Group) held a Conference to disseminate and summarize Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee. Within the framework of the Conference, the Party Committee of the Group announced the establishment of a Steering Committee to summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW (Steering Committee 812), in order to continue to promote leadership and direction to streamline the apparatus at Petrolimex in the coming time.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Son - Head of Department of Area VI, Central Inspection Commission delivered a speech at the Conference.

Comrade Pham Van Thanh - Member of the Central Enterprises Party Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group chaired the Conference.

The conference was held in a combination of in-person and online formats with the main bridge at the Vietnam National Petroleum Group Office, VCCI Tower, No. 9 Dao Duy Anh, Dong Da, Hanoi .

Attending and directing the Conference were comrade Nguyen Thanh Son - Head of Department of Area VI, Central Inspection Commission (CIC) and representatives of the leaders of the Advisory Boards of the Central Enterprise Party Committee (CENTRAL Enterprise Party Committee).

On behalf of the Group's Party Committee, Comrade Pham Van Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrolimex chaired the conference with the participation of comrades who are members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, members of the Board of Directors, Board of General Directors, Heads of specialized and professional departments at the Group's Office, Secretaries/Deputy Secretaries/In-charge of grassroots Party Committees; Members of the Executive Committee, Members of the Standing Committee of grassroots Party Committees and Head of the Group's Representative Office.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, comrade Pham Van Thanh affirmed that Resolution 18-NQ/TW is one of the major policies of the Party, aiming to comprehensively reform the organizational apparatus of the political system from the Central to the grassroots level, towards the goal of "streamlining - strength - efficiency - effectiveness - efficiency", avoiding overlapping functions and wasting resources to meet the requirements of sustainable development and international integration. The Party Committee of the Group also issued Action Program No. 521-CTr/DU dated February 1, 2018, accordingly setting out specific tasks and solutions to implement the goals, tasks and solutions of the Central Committee and the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc on continuing to innovate and arrange a streamlined, effective and efficient organizational apparatus. The Group has led and directed key and key contents on corporate restructuring in the 2020-2025 term and built the Group's restructuring project for the 2021-2025 period, with a vision to 2035, towards perfecting the organizational model and apparatus of the Group and its member units to operate more effectively and efficiently.

To promote the implementation of Resolution 18-NQ/TW and continue to review and arrange to perfect the streamlined, effective and efficient organizational structure, the Party Committee of the Group announced the Decision to establish Steering Committee 812, assigning specific tasks to each member of the Steering Committee as well as developing orientations and plans to implement related contents. At this Conference, Comrade Pham Van Thanh proposed to urgently and resolutely implement the following goals:

1 - The member units of the Group urgently establish a Steering Committee to implement Resolution 18-NQ/TW and develop a plan to streamline the apparatus at the unit, reporting the results to the Group's Steering Committee 812 in the first quarter of 2025.

2 - Continue to review and drastically implement the contents of the Group's restructuring project for the period 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2035.

3 - Review and re-evaluate the functions and tasks of the functional Departments/Offices at the Group's parent company; research appropriate rearrangement plans to report to competent authorities for decision.

4 - Research and evaluate corporate governance models according to best practices, meeting modern governance standards to apply changes and improve the organizational and operational models of the Group.
The conference agreed that the Group's Steering Committee 812 will issue a specific plan to continue effectively implementing the policies and orientations of Resolution 18-NQ/TW. Party committees and subordinate Party organizations need to continue promoting the study and dissemination of the Resolution to each cadre, party member, and employee, ensuring that 100% of them are informed of the Party's policies; conduct an assessment of the current state of the apparatus to proactively implement the structure towards streamlining and effective operation.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Pham Van Thanh affirmed that the Group will organize the implementation of solutions in a systematic, scientific, and practical manner, ensuring feasibility and effectiveness in each step of implementation. The Party Secretary - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group emphasized that the success of the implementation of Resolution 18-NQ/TW at the Group depends largely on the consensus and determination of the leaders and all cadres, party members and workers in the whole industry; at the same time, calling for the spirit of solidarity, unanimity and efforts to overcome all difficulties to complete this important task.
