On the afternoon of May 18th, the Hanoi Youth Union - Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi City organized the final round of the competition on science subjects and Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, themed "The Guiding Light," with the theme "The Path of Light," in 2025.

The competition is a political and academic activity of profound significance, held every two years, aiming to cultivate and enhance political theory awareness, awaken patriotism and national pride, thereby forming positive thinking and ideals for union members, youth, and students. It also serves as a forum for young people to demonstrate their understanding of Marxist-Leninist science and Ho Chi Minh Thought, as well as apply this knowledge to their work, studies, and personal development.
During the two-week preliminary round, the competition attracted over 200 individual contestants and 30 teams from universities, colleges, academies, and affiliated Youth Union/Association branches in Hanoi. After several exciting and dramatic rounds, the organizing committee selected 5 outstanding individuals and 5 outstanding teams to advance to the final round.

Speaking at the Final Round, the Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi, Nguyen Tien Hung, emphasized: With over 200 individuals and 30 outstanding groups from various schools selected to represent the city after only nearly three weeks of launching, this year's competition is a vivid testament to the serious learning spirit and deep concern of Hanoi's youth for political theory.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Hung expressed his belief that, through this competition, each youth union member will continue to ignite the flame of enthusiasm, enhance their spirit of self-study and self-improvement, and remain steadfast on the revolutionary ideal path associated with the unwavering commitment to advancing towards socialism that the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and our people have chosen.
In the final round, the five most outstanding individuals and five outstanding teams competed, showcasing their talent, knowledge, confidence, and creativity through various engaging competitions. These competitions not only required in-depth knowledge of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought but also demanded practical application skills, presentation skills, critical thinking, and effective teamwork.


At the conclusion of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize in the individual category to contestant Tong Thi Minh Anh (student from the National Economics University) and the first prize in the team category to the Vietnam Youth Academy. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded one second prize and three third prizes to winning teams and individuals in each category. High-achieving contestants will be commended, rewarded, and recommended for training and development activities in the future by the City Youth Union - Vietnam Student Association.
