Capital students compete in the "Light of the Way" contest in 2025

On the afternoon of May 18, the Hanoi Youth Union - Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi organized the Final Round of the Competition on Science and Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought "Light to the Way", with the theme "The Path of Light" in 2025.

The contest is a meaningful political and academic activity, held every two years, to foster and improve political theory awareness, arouse patriotism and national pride, thereby forming positive thinking and ideals for union members, youth and students. This is also a forum for young people to demonstrate their understanding of Marxist-Leninist sciences and Ho Chi Minh's thought as well as apply knowledge to practical work, study and training.

During the 2 weeks of competition in the preliminary round, the Contest recorded more than 200 contestants in the individual round and 30 teams from universities, colleges, academies, and affiliated Youth Unions in the Capital participating. After the dramatic and exciting rounds, the Organizing Committee found 5 outstanding individuals and 5 outstanding groups to deploy the Final Round of the Contest.

Speaking at the Final Round, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi City Nguyen Tien Hung emphasized: With more than 200 individuals and 30 most typical groups from schools, selected as representatives to participate after nearly 3 weeks of launching, this year's contest is a vivid proof of the spirit of serious study and the deep interest of the capital's youth in political theory work.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Hung believes that from the contest, each union member and youth will continue to light the fire of enthusiasm, enhance the spirit of self-study, self-training and steadfastness on the path of revolutionary ideals associated with the steadfastness to advance to socialism that the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and our people have chosen.

At the Final Round, the 5 best individuals and 5 groups competed to demonstrate their talent, knowledge, courage and creativity through many exciting competitions. The competitions not only required extensive knowledge of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought but also required the ability to apply them in practice, presentation skills, critical thinking and effective teamwork.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the individual category to contestant Tong Thi Minh Anh (student of National Economics University) and the collective category to the Vietnam Youth Academy. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 1 second prize and 3 third prizes to each category for the winning collectives and individuals. Contestants with high achievements will be commended, rewarded and introduced to participate in training and development activities in the coming time by the City Youth Union - Vietnam Student Association.
