The Youth Volunteer Corps for Construction of the Capital celebrates its 40th anniversary.

On May 18, the Capital Construction and Development Youth Union organized a celebration of its 40th anniversary (May 18, 1985 - May 18, 2025).

Speaking at the ceremony, Head of the Liaison Committee of the Youth Volunteer Corps for the Construction of the Capital Nguyen Van Ba ​​said: 40 years ago, the Hanoi Party Committee and People's Committee issued a Decision to establish the Youth Volunteer Corps for the Construction of the Capital, with the proposal and organization of the Hanoi Youth Union. 100% of the Youth Volunteer Corps of the Corps are members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The establishment of the General Team has promptly responded to the need to participate in solving the city's socio -economic difficulties; met the need to solve employment problems for young people and added methods to gather and educate the young generation during certain difficult periods of the Union's work.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Ba, the activities of the General Team have contributed significantly to the supply of raw materials for the city's manufacturing industries, contributed additional foreign currency revenue from coal exports; planted forests to green bare hills; built many economic and social facilities and works of the capital...

With the results of its operations with 8 companies and enterprises, the Team has been evaluated and recognized by the State, City Party Committee, City People's Committee, Central Youth Union with 4 Labor Medals and many Certificates of Merit, Certificates of Merit... Many Youth Volunteers have grown up and are honored to stand in the ranks of the Party, many have become leaders, good managers, successful businessmen in the economic field...

In the past time, under the direction of the City's Association of Former Youth Volunteers, the Liaison Committee of the Capital Construction Youth Volunteers has focused on activities of gratitude, comradeship, poverty reduction, and helping each other to start a business. Notably, there was a comrade who donated 30 million to rebuild the collapsed house of former Youth Volunteers of Hai Ba Trung district; former Youth Volunteers of the Coal Enterprise donated 5 shipments of food, clothing, books, and supplies to help people affected by the September 2024 flood, with a budget of more than 150 million VND...

On behalf of the Hanoi City Association of Former Youth Volunteers, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Chairman of the Hanoi City Association of Former Youth Volunteers, expressed his gratitude and wished the former youth volunteers good health and happiness; at the same time, affirmed that the Hanoi City Association of Former Youth Volunteers always cherishes the achievements and contributions of the General Youth Volunteer Team in building and developing the Capital, deserving to be listed in the traditional golden pages of the Association.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh believes that the former Youth Volunteers of the General Team and now former Youth Volunteers of Hanoi Capital, with love and responsibility, talent and creativity, will continue to build a strong organization; promote the tradition and good values ​​of the Youth Volunteers, contributing to building the Capital to be increasingly developed, prosperous, civilized and happy.

At the program, 18 outstanding former Youth Volunteers were honored to receive the Commemorative Medal from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association.

On this occasion, the City's Association of Former Youth Volunteers awarded 12 badges of Former Youth Volunteers following Uncle Ho's teachings to exemplary former Youth Volunteers; and presented Certificates of Merit to 13 former Youth Volunteers with achievements in the association's work.
