Honoring noble and simple examples

On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and the summary of 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle", under the direction of the Central Propaganda Department and the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Museum organized the exhibition "Simple but noble examples". This is the 13th consecutive year the exhibition has been held at the Museum.

Speaking at the exhibition, Dr. Vu Manh Ha, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, said that during his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh paid great attention to setting good examples and doing good deeds. In 1968, in order to spread the propaganda andeducation of good people and doing good deeds more widely among the people, President Ho Chi Minh directed the publication of the book “Good People, Good Deeds”, which collected typical examples in combat, labor and production.

After President Ho Chi Minh passed away, the movement to study and follow his example was launched by our Party, becoming a regular, long-term, practical activity, entering into social life. Emulation movements such as "Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's Testament", "Living, fighting, working and studying following the example of great Uncle Ho!", and the current stage "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" have been responded to and implemented enthusiastically and widely throughout the country by all classes of people.

“The strong spread of those movements has created more and more typical and advanced collectives and individuals in all fields: Building a clean and strong Party and political system; developing the economy, culture and society; building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern People's Army and People's Police, contributing to the building of people and organizations, and creating great achievements in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland,” said Mr. Vu Manh Ha.

With more than 200 documents, articles and artifacts, the exhibition "Ordinary but noble examples" in 2025 introduces to the public 135 typical examples, including 71 groups and 64 individuals with outstanding achievements, selected by the Organizing Committee from more than 600 examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style introduced and honored by the Central Propaganda Department, Central Mass Mobilization Department, Provincial Party Committees, City Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Central Government. Each image and article is a touching story about ordinary groups and individuals who have overcome their circumstances and fate, dared to think, dared to do, constantly tried, devoted themselves to the community, for the peace and prosperity of the country.

In addition, the exhibition also introduces a number of documents, articles, books and book collections on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, along with a number of badges that President Ho Chi Minh presented to good people and good deeds.

The exhibition consists of 2 parts: Part I - Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style is a regular activity of the entire Party and people, introducing documents and images, affirming that studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's example was launched by the Party and State right after his death, with the emulation movement "Living, fighting, working and studying following the example of great Uncle Ho!".

Part II – Simple yet noble examples, including images, documents, and artifacts of 135 typical collectives and individuals in patriotic emulation movements in the fields of: Party building, economic, cultural, social development, building revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern armed forces.

In this section, the public will see typical examples such as: Mrs. Nguyen Thi Sau in Binh Duong, nearly 90 years old, quietly giving warm breakfasts to students, workers, and poor laborers. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan in Ha Nam - a devoted young doctor, has saved the lives of thousands of critically ill patients, with more than 2,000 coronary angiography cases, of which 600 patients were successfully treated with stents. Or Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Viet Quan - the brave man who saved the lives of 4 people in the fire in Quynh Loi, Hanoi in 2024...

The exhibition “Ordinary but noble examples” has been held continuously for 13 years (2013–2025), and is an extremely meaningful political and cultural activity. Not only honoring examples of “Good people, good deeds”, the exhibition also contributes to helping the public gain a deeper understanding of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style, thereby arousing the spirit of dedication through practical actions, spreading in social life.

The exhibition runs from May 18, 2025 to August 2025.
