Ba Ria - Vung Tau Police support people to contribute ideas to amend the 2013 Constitution via VNeID

These days, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police are deploying forces to support and guide people to contribute opinions on the draft amendments and supplements to the Constitution via the VNeID application.

The public consultation on the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution is taking place nationwide. Identifying this as a particularly important, urgent, and central political task, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police (BR-VT) has launched an emulation movement within the entire provincial police force, aiming for at least 90% of citizens in the area with level 2 electronic identification accounts to participate in contributing opinions on amending the Constitution.

Colonel Vu Nhu Ha, Party Secretary and Director of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police, informed that right after the Ministry of Public Security held a conference to disseminate the policy and orientation for amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution throughout the sector, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police held a conference to deploy the work of collecting public opinions on the Draft amending and supplementing the 2013 Constitution through the national electronic identification application VNeID. It can be said that Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police is one of the first units in the country to organize a conference to deploy the above important political task.

"The Board of Directors requests the entire Provincial Police force to promote a sense of responsibility, be proactive, and focus maximum human resources, means, and measures so that the work of collecting people's opinions can be effectively implemented, ensuring the set targets and progress," said Colonel Vu Nhu Ha.

From May 9 to now, at the grassroots levels, the police force has advised the Party Committee and the People's Committee at the commune level to develop a plan to mobilize local sectors and organizations to coordinate with the police force to establish hundreds of working groups, directly going to each locality and each household with the motto "going to every alley, knocking on every door" to propagate, guide and support people to give opinions on the draft amendments and supplements to the 2013 Constitution through the VNeID application and integrating documents into the VNeID application.

Together with the police force, authorities at all levels, departments, branches and organizations have also clearly identified the importance of collecting public opinions on the draft amendments to the Constitution, thereby having specific measures and solutions to ensure the implementation of synchronous, scientific and effective collection of opinions, attracting the participation of a large number of people.

Through propaganda and mobilization, the majority of people expressed their consensus and support for the correct policies and decisions of the Party and State. As of May 18, nearly 300,000 people in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province had contributed their opinions on the draft amendments and supplements to the 2013 Constitution on the VNeID application, reaching more than 40% of the set target.

Ms. Nguyen Le Chi, 78 years old, residing in Chi Linh Urban Area, Ward 10, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, shared that she was fully informed by the Ward Police, the Apartment Management Board and the authorities about the issues to be aware of when using a smartphone to access the VNeID application to express her views and comments on the draft amended Constitution.

“This is the first time the National Assembly has organized a public consultation in this way, so that each citizen can exercise their right to participate in law-making. Having received specific instructions, I completed my comments via an electronic identification account quickly and conveniently…”, Ms. Chi shared.

In Hoa Hung commune, Xuyen Moc district, the entire local political system, in which the police play a core role, has promoted a sense of responsibility, proactively propagandized, supported, and guided people to participate in giving opinions on the VNeID application.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Hiep, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, said that the Commune Party Committee, together with departments, branches, unions, and hamlet committees, were determined and urgently organized to launch and guide people to contribute their opinions to the draft amendments to the 2013 Constitution, through the VNeID electronic identification application. Currently, all 4/4 hamlets in the commune have organized to collect opinions.

According to the Board of Directors of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police, on this occasion, people will also be guided by the police force to integrate documents such as Social Insurance, driver's license, tax code... into the VNeID application for use, replacing traditional documents as before, contributing to building a digital government, digital citizens, and implementing national digital transformation.

People nationwide can comment on the draft amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution right on the VNeID application - convenient, easy to operate, ensuring transparency and security.

The implementation is very simple: Step 1: Log in to the VNeID application. Step 2: Select "Utility to collect public opinions on the content of the 2013 Constitution amendment". Step 3: Read the Draft Amendment carefully. Step 4: Enter your comments and send.
