The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with relevant sectors, units and localities to inspect, review and assess the suitability and overlap (if any) of the location and scope of the planned construction of Mo O Lake with the Plan for exploration and exploitation of scattered and small-scale minerals in Quang Nam province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 (other than minerals used as common construction materials) in the Quang Nam Provincial Planning dossier; report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration before August 20, 2024.
Previously, implementing the opinion of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Construction organized a review and had a report assessing the suitability of the location and planned scope of Mo O Lake construction.
Specifically, the Department of Construction said that the location, coordinates, and boundaries of Mo O Lake, part of the Ho Khe, Mo O, and Cha Mai Reservoir Cluster project, are located in Tien Phuoc and Phu Ninh districts, and do not overlap with mineral planning areas in Tien Lap commune.
Regarding mineral mines in the area, according to the Department of Construction, the location and planned scope of Mo O Lake construction do not overlap with the coordinates and boundaries of mineral mines for common construction materials (sand, fill soil, stone in Tien Lap commune) that have been sent by the Department of Construction to the Department of Planning and Investment to be integrated into the Plan for mineral exploration, exploitation and use in the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, integrated in the Planning dossier of Quang Nam province in the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.
