Evaluation of the progress of the project to build boarding and semi-boarding schools in border areas

On the afternoon of October 17, at the Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Vuong Ngoc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to evaluate the progress of implementing investment projects to build border primary and secondary boarding schools and Marie Curie - Meo Vac Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.

The meeting was connected online from the Provincial People's Committee to the People's Committees of Thanh Thuy, Pho Bang, Minh Tan, Son Vi, Pa Vay Su, Xin Man, Meo Vac communes and representatives of leaders of a number of relevant departments, branches and units.

At the meeting, the Project Management Board reported on the progress of investment and construction for 6 inter-level primary and secondary boarding schools in Thanh Thuy, Pho Bang, Minh Tan, Son Vi, Pa Vay Su, Xin Man and Meo Vac communes. Accordingly, the Project Management Board has completed the master plan for construction at the schools.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and clarifying the progress of each task; proposing solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process, especially in site clearance, conversion procedures, waste treatment, and resettlement for some affected households...

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha requested relevant departments, branches and localities to speed up the preparation stages with the highest sense of responsibility, create consensus among the people, hand over the site to be determined to start construction on time. The implementation process needs to be associated with regular monitoring and inspection to ensure both the progress and quality of the project, absolutely not allowing any delays.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha also requested departments, branches and localities to consider the investment in building inter-level boarding schools in border communes as a task of important political significance, a key task, and must proactively coordinate implementation. Localities need to clearly identify the location of school construction, prioritizing central areas, convenient transportation, linked to infrastructure and general development planning of the commune; ensure safety at construction sites, avoid the impact of natural disasters and floods.

Departments and branches review all work content, giving maximum priority to conditions on mechanisms, policies, administrative procedures, and site clearance so that the project can be implemented soon, ensuring quality and progress according to plan.
