List of Vietnamese women's volleyball players participating in SEA Games 33

It is no surprise that the final names are mostly pillars who have competed with the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball team in international tournaments in recent times.

Accordingly, the four main attackers officially selected are Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Thi Uyen and Bui Thi Anh Thao. The two opposite positions are Dang Thi Kim Thanh and Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh.

Vietnam women's volleyball team gathers to prepare for SEA Games 33

VHO - Head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has just finalized the list of 20 players for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.

The participating middle blockers are Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Le Thanh Thuy and Luu Thi Hue; the setters are Doan Thi Lam Oanh and Vo Thi Kim Thoa; the two Liberos are Nguyen Khanh Dang and Le Thi Yen.

Currently, the team is training in Vinh Long and is missing two key players, main attacker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and middle attacker Tran Thi Bich Thuy, because they are playing in Japan.

According to the competition schedule, the women's indoor volleyball event of SEA Games 33 will start from December 10 to 15.

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team are in group B with Indonesia, Myanmar and Malaysia; group A includes Thailand (host, defending champion), Philippines and Singapore.

The teams compete in a round robin in each group, with the top two teams advancing to the semi-finals.

The Vietnam Women's Volleyball team will play their opening match against the Myanmar team at 3:00 p.m. (Vietnam time) on December 10.

The next match, the Vietnamese team will meet Malaysia at 12:30 on December 11. In the final match of the group stage, the Vietnamese girls will meet Indonesia at 12:30 on December 12.

The goal of Vietnamese women's volleyball at SEA Games 33 is to reach the finals, and further aim for the gold medal.

At the 32nd SEA Games in 2023 in Cambodia, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team performed impressively, reaching the final, but then lost 1-3 to Thailand, winning the silver medal.
