Director Bui Thac Chuyen received a Certificate of Merit from the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, said that since the film "Tunnels - Sun in the Dark" was released on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the film has received a warm welcome from audiences across the country and has been highly appreciated by experts.

Ho Chi Minh City leaders have directed relevant departments and branches to closely coordinate with the film crew, producers, and distributors so that the film can be widely spread to the public.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee to director Bui Thac Chuyen, producer, director, and screenwriter of the film "Tunnels - Sun in the Dark" for his outstanding achievements in literary and artistic activities on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

On behalf of the film crew, director Bui Thac Chuyen emotionally shared: This is the recognition of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee not only for him personally but also for the entire film crew who put a lot of effort into making a film that was well received by the public.

Director Bui Thac Chuyen thanked the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, and said that it was their concern that helped the film crew overcome many difficulties to complete the work on the theme of revolutionary history.
