Ministry of Education and Training issues standards for semiconductor training program - Photo: MOET
The Ministryof Education and Training has just issued a decision to standardize the training program on semiconductor microcircuits at the undergraduate and master's levels.
Accordingly, the entrance standards of the training program for bachelor and engineer levels require that based on the high school graduation exam scores, the candidate's admission combination must include math and at least one natural science subject suitable for the semiconductor microcircuit training program.
The total score of the subjects in the admission combination must reach at least 80% of the scale. For example, at least 24/30 for a combination of 3 subjects. Of which, the math test score must reach at least 80% of the scale. For example, at least 8/10.
Candidates with a university degree must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8/4 or higher (or equivalent) for their graduation program.
For candidates who are students studying from other training programs transferring to the microchip and semiconductor training program, they must have a cumulative average score of 2.5/4 and some other conditions.
For candidates applying for a master's degree, in addition to meeting the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, they must have a cumulative average score of 2.8/4 or higher or equivalent from the graduated university program.
The Ministry of Education and Training also clearly stated the list of semiconductor microprocessor training majors and output standards of training majors/programs, of which there are 38 majors at the undergraduate level and 37 majors at the master's level.
See the output standards of the microchip and semiconductor training program here.
