ANTD.VN - The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) will simultaneously auction the 2500-2600 MHz band and the 3700-3900 MHz band for 5G.

Simultaneous auction of 2 bands for 5G

On December 6, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued Notice No. 273/TB-BTTTT on the abolition of Decision No. 2041/QD-BTTTT dated October 25, 2023 of the Minister of Information and Communications approving the Plan for organizing the auction of radio frequency use rights for the 2500-2600 MHz band for terrestrial mobile information systems according to IMT standards.

Previously, on October 25, 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued Decision No. 2041/QD-BTTTT, approving the Plan for organizing the auction of radio frequency usage rights for the 2500-2600 MHz band.

On November 23, 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications continued to issue Circular No. 13/2023/TT-BTTTT on planning the 3560-4000 MHz frequency band for Vietnam's IMT public terrestrial mobile information system.

To simultaneously organize the auction of the 2500-2600 MHz band and the 3700-3900 MHz band, on December 6, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued Decision No. 2398/QD-BTTTT abolishing Decision No. 2041/QD-BTTTT dated October 25, 2023 of the Minister of Information and Communications approving the Plan for organizing the auction of the right to use radio frequencies for the 2500-2600 MHz band for terrestrial mobile information systems according to IMT standards.

Thus, after January 7, 2024, the Ministry of Information and Communications will organize an auction for both frequency bands for 5G.
