36-hour tech arena for the future of digital banking

VHO - 36 hours without sleep, hundreds of students and technology experts from Vietnam and abroad are together "writing" technology solutions to improve customer experience in digital banking. More than just a competition, Hack CX Together 2025 is becoming a new creative push, where ideas, speed and practice converge.

At Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the atmosphere in mid-June is hotter than ever. More than 100 students, divided into 24 teams, are entering the “heart” Hackathon round of the Hack CX Together 2025 competition.

Within 36 consecutive hours, teams will have to build a technology solution prototype (MVP) to solve practical problems given by Techcombank , the strategic partner. This is not only an intellectual challenge, but also a rigorous test of speed, teamwork ability and innovative thinking.

Behind the competition are days of elaborate preparation. From May 18 to June 5, 2025, more than 100 teams from major universities nationwide and 1 team from the National University of Singapore (NUS) registered, going through a rigorous selection round to make it into the top 24.

Before the Hackathon, from June 7-12, the teams were advised by more than 30 mentors, including lecturers, technology experts, startup founders and business leaders with comprehensive support from business model thinking, AI technology, to user product design.

This year’s Hackathon is a combination of academia and practice, between the vision of innovation and the need for digital transformation in the banking industry. The entire competition is operated on the cutting-edge technology platform of AWS with a realistic simulation data system, helping contestants “touch” the exact problems that businesses are facing.

According to the Organizing Committee, Hack CX Together 2025 is not only a regular technology playground but also has the mission of creating a collaborative ecosystem between universities, businesses and the young creative community.

This is an initiative initiated by the Institute of Technology and Digital Economy , Hanoi University of Science and Technology, coordinated by Lead Consulting Joint Stock Company, with the support of Techcombank, AWS and many prestigious domestic and foreign organizations.

Not just a “competition for fun”, the competition creates real opportunities: the winning teams will present their ideas at the ECOTECH 2025 Digital Economy and Digital Technology Conference, which brings together experts, investors and technology businesses.

They will also be connected to incubation programs, in-depth consulting support, and even career opportunities at Techcombank, one of the pioneering banks in digital transformation in Vietnam.

The total prize is up to 130 million VND, of which the First Prize is worth 50 million VND, along with many other valuable prizes. But the greatest value is not in the cash, but in the immeasurable experiences in 36 hours of burning out for technology, creativity and the desire to change the future.

The competition also leaves a strong message: When young people are empowered, connected to reality and properly supported, they can create solutions with great impact.

From a student technology playground, Hack CX Together 2025 is transforming into an open, highly sustainable initiative, playing the role of a bridge between business and education in the digital economy era.
