Investment in Nam Dinh 2 220 kV Transformer Station Project and Connection Line

The National Power Transmission Corporation has just been approved by the Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee to invest in the Nam Dinh 2 220 kV Transformer Station project and connecting lines worth 729,643 billion VND.

According to Decision No. 1875/QD-UBND dated August 30, 2024, the project using about 8.1 hectares of land in Vu Ban district will be completed by the investor, ensuring the construction of project items according to the approved design and putting the project into operation within 24 months from the date of land handover at the site. The project has a duration of 50 years.

Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee also requested the investor to coordinate with relevant units to organize the implementation, appraisal of the project, and design in accordance with regulations; in which, it is necessary to review and accurately determine the total project investment according to economic and technical standards, submit to competent authorities for approval of the project, and design and construct according to current regulations.

Coordinate with State management agencies to implement and complete documents and procedures on investment (including procedures to ensure the implementation of investment projects), construction, environmental protection, land use, etc., submit to competent authorities for approval and agreement according to regulations before project construction; implement in accordance with approved investment policies and other relevant provisions of law.

The People's Committee of Nam Dinh province assigns the Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Construction, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Finance, Department of Transport, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Science and Technology and related units to take full responsibility before the law, the Provincial People's Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspection, examination and auditing agencies and related agencies for the accuracy and suitability of the content of consultation, appraisal, comments and conditions according to regulations; perform the function of state management in the field of management according to regulations, carry out inspection, supervision and management to ensure project implementation in accordance with current regulations.

Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee assigned Vu Ban District People's Committee to perform local supervision functions during the construction process and when the project comes into operation according to the provisions of law.

The project investment aims to meet the demand for load growth of the Vu Ban district power system, increase the transmission capacity of the existing power line, meet the demand for load growth to serve the socio-economic development of Nam Dinh province in particular and the North in general, create strong links between areas in the power system, increase the ability to operate safely and stably for the national power system. At the same time, reduce power loss in the transmission grid, increase the production and business efficiency of EVN; power transmission and distribution (VSIC code: 3512).
