In order to effectively carry out propaganda work on the Party's policies and guidelines, Cuu Long University organized a conference to deploy the resolution on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

On July 3, Cuu Long University held a conference to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation for all cadres, lecturers, experts, staff and workers of the university. Attending the conference was Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department .

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, emphasized the key role of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the rapid and sustainable development of the country. He highly appreciated the efforts of Cuu Long University in concretizing Resolution 57 and Resolution 45 on building a team of intellectuals; at the same time, he requested the school to continue to promote its strengths and actively contribute to the development of Vinh Long province (including Ben Tre, Vinh Long and Tra Vinh provinces) and the Mekong Delta region.

Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat suggested that delegates focus on discussing the awareness of the role and importance of Resolution 57 and Resolution 45 in the strategy of building and developing schools; the advantages, difficulties and obstacles in implementing the resolutions for private schools; recommendations and proposals on mechanisms and policies for Vinh Long, the Party and the State to create favorable and effective conditions for implementing the above important resolutions...

Reporting at the conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Minh Cu, Rector of Cuu Long University, said that in the period of 2020 - 2025, although it is a private school and does not receive funding for basic research, the school still proactively invests from 3 - 5 billion VND/year in science and technology activities. In the past 5 years, the school has implemented 78 basic-level projects, 214 faculty-level projects and 149 student projects; at the same time, compiled 164 textbooks for training...

At the conference, there were many opinions from delegates and scientists revolving around issues of semiconductor technology; artificial intelligence; resources for science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; digital transformation work at higher education institutions...
