Mobile book service for students
In order to promote the value of books and reading culture in the system of educational and training institutions, Tay Ninh Provincial Library has organized many meaningful activities, contributing to building spiritual and cultural life, promoting ethical values and the tradition of studiousness of the nation.
At Long Giang Secondary School, Ben Cau District, the Provincial Library coordinated with the Ben Cau District Culture, Sports and Broadcasting Center to organize "Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day".

At the program, students listened to a discussion about books and the benefits of reading, helping children gain a deeper understanding of the examples of book lovers and self-studyers in the Ho Chi Minh era, thereby being able to learn and follow, contributing to spreading the love of books and reading culture throughout society. In addition, students also gained knowledge through quizzes from the program and received meaningful gifts.

The festival also included a book cover design competition. Teams were free to create designs, the book covers had to ensure elements including the book title, author name, publisher and year of publication. The competition took place in a lively and joyful atmosphere. Through the competition, students practiced team spirit, coordinated well, and worked together to complete their works well.
Do Nhu Huynh, a student of class 8A2, Long Giang Secondary School, Ben Cau District, shared: “The provincial library has brought us many good and meaningful books, suitable for students’ ages. The questions in the exchange part of the program helped me learn more about history and geography.”

“Modern life makes students like us rarely read books, but instead use electronic devices such as laptops, smartphones, televisions, etc., so I find the mobile book service very meaningful, helping us develop the habit of reading books, so that we can love our homeland and country more through each page of the book” - said Nguyen Nhi, a student of class 8A2, Long Giang Secondary School, Ben Cau district.
In addition, the Provincial Library also organizes mobile book service at many schools in the province; coordinates book exhibitions at the thematic talk "The heroic spirit of the country, continuing the glorious history of the Great Victory of Spring 1975" on the occasion of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) at the hall of Division 5; introduces books at the hall of the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH) of Tay Ninh Provincial Police; coordinates book exhibitions to celebrate major national holidays; deploys a plan to serve by multimedia mobile library cars in Binh Phuoc province according to the Development Cooperation Program between Binh Phuoc province and Tay Ninh province for the period 2023-2025 in the library sector...
Many activities contribute to developing reading culture
At the Provincial Library, books are displayed monthly according to the themes and major holidays of the year. In April, the bookcase displays many books with rich content, such as: propaganda of the Party's policies and guidelines, policies and laws of the State; books by President Ho Chi Minh and other Party and State leaders; history, economics, politics, culture, society, security and defense of the country and the province; introducing the beauty of culture and people of ethnic groups in the province; books serving teaching and learning in schools, children's comics... serving the needs of all classes of people.

The unit continues to circulate books and newspapers to the base bookcases, border posts, and militia posts. This is an annual activity of the unit, aiming to supplement books, renew the book warehouse, contribute to diversifying the book sources for border posts, increasingly better meeting the needs of reading books, newspapers, studying, entertaining, improving knowledge, and spiritual and cultural life of officers and soldiers.
In addition, the Provincial Library also carries out many activities such as coordinating with Tay Ninh Radio and Television Station to promote and introduce books about Tay Ninh homeland through the Audio program "Connecting knowledge", broadcast on FM channel 103.1MHZ. Strengthening the sharing, exploitation and use of e-books and digital resources of the Provincial Library for district-level libraries to serve readers to exploit and use online through network infrastructures (electronic information pages, Zalo, Facebook ...).

Ms. Pham Thi Cam Nhung - Deputy Director in charge of the Provincial Library said: "The Provincial Library has implemented many activities to develop a reading culture in the community. The unit coordinated to promote and introduce books through mobile services at 11 schools in and outside the province, especially schools in remote and border areas and 6 schools in Binh Phuoc province. At the same time, the Provincial Library displayed and served books on the ground floor of the Provincial Public Administration Service Center, from April 14 to 22, 2025, attracting a large number of people to visit and read books.
Officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Tay Ninh Provincial Police participated in reading books.
Thousands of books on various topics are served to students, contributing to improving knowledge in the era of information technology explosion; coordinating with the armed forces, donating books, circulating books and newspapers to military posts and posts... The activities of the Provincial Library not only bring interesting and useful cultural spaces to book lovers, but also create conditions for cadres, civil servants, public employees, teachers, students and people in the province to pay more attention to reading culture, improving knowledge, serving work, study and research".
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a plan to organize the fourth Vietnamese Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025, taking place from April 15 to May 2 nationwide, with many activities to promote reading culture, spreading the values of books and reading. To contribute to implementing the Party and State's guidelines and policies on developing reading culture; implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress on building and promoting cultural values and the strength of Vietnamese people; affirming the position, role and importance of books in improving knowledge, skills, developing thinking, educating and training human personality. This is also an annual event to encourage and develop the reading movement; discover and honor reading culture in the community, contributing to building a system of cultural values and standards for Vietnamese people. |
