Vietnam Airlines and Russian Foreign Trade Bank sign cooperation agreement

Within the framework of General Secretary To Lam's official visit to the Russian Federation, Vietnam Airlines and the Russian Foreign Trade Bank (VTB) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding on enhancing cooperation.

Vietnam Airlines and Russian Foreign Trade Bank (VTB) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding on enhancing cooperation.

The signing ceremony was solemnly held at the Kremlin Palace under the witness of General Secretary To Lam , President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and senior leaders of the two countries, affirming the determination of the two sides in building a sustainable cooperative relationship, making practical contributions to the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

Through the Memorandum of Understanding, Vietnam Airlines and the Bank for Foreign Trade of Russia express their common desire to jointly research and provide solution packages to promote cultural and artistic exchanges, enhance tourism support between the two countries, and jointly seek other cooperation opportunities in the future.

Mr. Le Hong Ha, General Director of Vietnam Airlines, affirmed that this event is an important milestone, opening up many practical cooperation opportunities, contributing to strengthening aviation and tourism connections between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, better serving the travel and trade needs of customers of the two countries.

Mr. Andrey Kostin, Chairman and General Director of the Foreign Trade Bank of Russia, also expressed his commitment to accompany Vietnam Airlines, ready to provide optimal services to support the airline's development in the Russian market.

The signing of the MoU took place in the context that Vietnam Airlines has just officially resumed the direct flight route Hanoi-Moscow on May 8, 2025 with a frequency of 2 flights/week. This route not only meets the increasing travel demand between the two countries but also contributes to promoting tourism, trade and cultural exchange between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

The Memorandum of Understanding between Vietnam Airlines and the Bank for Foreign Trade of Russia not only demonstrates Vietnam Airlines' efforts to expand its partnership in the international market but also affirms the pioneering role of Vietnam Airlines in connecting Vietnam with the world, contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam-Russia relations in the new period.
