Urgently develop a Project on entertainment industry

The Government has just issued Resolution No. 124/NQ-CP Resolution of the regular Government meeting in April 2025.

Accordingly, the Government unanimously assessed that: In April, the world situation continued to have new, complicated and unpredictable developments; military conflicts in some regions have not ended; strategic competition between major countries is increasingly fierce, the United States announced a high-level reciprocal tax policy on a large scale and continuously changed, along with strong reactions from many major economies, which have negatively impacted global economic growth, increasing the risk of recession.

Domestically, under the scientific, wise and timely leadership of the Party Central Committee, directly and regularly led by the Politburo and the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary To Lam; the close and effective coordination of the National Assembly; the participation of the entire political system; the consensus and active participation of the people and the business community; the support and assistance of international friends; the Government, the Prime Minister, Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Government agencies, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities have promptly and fully institutionalized the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, resolutely and proactively directed, operated and organized the synchronous and effective implementation of key, focal tasks and regular work; flexibly responded to and promptly handled sudden and arising issues.

The socio-economic situation in April and the first four months of 2025 achieved many positive results, better than the previous month and the same period last year; continuing to create momentum, force, and spirit to promote the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in May and the coming time.

In particular, the cultural and social fields continued to be promoted. In April, all levels, sectors and localities organized many meaningful and solemn activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, notably the National Parade and March in Ho Chi Minh City, affirming the strength of the People, the aspiration for national development and the role of the great solidarity bloc, the indomitable spirit, self-reliance, self-reliance, perseverance and heroism of the Vietnamese people, the great stature and great historical value of the Great Spring Victory in 1975, the most brilliant milestone in the history of building and defending the country of the new nation. The Government organized the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony online simultaneously in all three regions of the North - Central - South for 80 key national projects and major works.

Regarding the main tasks and solutions in the coming time, the Resolution clearly stated: The world situation is forecast to continue to have major, complex and unpredictable fluctuations; strategic competition between major countries is more intense; military conflicts in some regions continue; global trade tensions are increasing... Domestically, difficulties and challenges outweigh opportunities and advantages, creating pressure on macroeconomic stability, inflation, exchange rates, major balances and the management and operation of socio-economic development.

  Complete and submit to the Government for promulgation the draft Decree regulating the Database on domestic violence prevention and control.

In that situation, the Government and the Prime Minister request Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Government agencies, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to strictly grasp the Resolutions and Conclusions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly, the Government and the direction of the Prime Minister; uphold the sense of responsibility, direct, manage and organize the implementation of assigned tasks more drastically, promptly and sensitively; identify difficulties and challenges as opportunities and motivations to overcome; be determined to overcome limitations and weaknesses, strive to complete at the highest level the goals, targets and tasks of the socio-economic development plan set for 2025.

The Government assigned specific tasks to ministries, agencies and localities. In particular, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was assigned to preside over and coordinate with agencies and localities to focus on implementing the 2025 Summer Tourism Stimulus Program; promote tourism promotion activities, and complete the goal of welcoming 22-23 million international tourists and serving 130 million domestic tourists in 2025.

In addition, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism urgently develops a Project on the entertainment industry and reports to the Prime Minister in May 2025.
