Dr. Le Truong Tung, Chairman of theFPT University School Council, announced the University's strategic reserve force training program.

The program is designed specifically for information technology students at FPT University, aiming to build a strategic reserve force ready to participate in the implementation of Resolution 57/NQ-TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation.

According to Dr. Le Truong Tung, the program is expected to consist of two in-depth modules and will be implemented in an online learning format, using the platform of strategic partner Coursera, in order to maximize the quality of online learning programs.

Assessment will be conducted through major projects with a grading system, accompanied by a Coursera certificate certified by FPT University. The program is expected to begin in the summer semester of 2025 with Module 1 and continue with Module 2 in the fall semester of 2025.

The program comprises eight knowledge blocks. The first four are considered crucial components of the digital transformation ecosystem, including: state management and public administration; business and organizational management; digital economy and digital finance; and customer experience and digital marketing.

The next four areas belong to the core competency group, equipping organizations, businesses, and government agencies with the ability to implement digital transformation at the system level.

The training content is designed around the digital transformation ecosystem, encompassing elements of the government, businesses, digital economy, digital finance, and digital marketing. The core competency group will focus on developing the ability to organize and implement digital transformation at the system level – essential for future human resources.

All of the above content has been concretized into lectures, ready to be implemented for a large number of students at FPT University.

The program will be piloted through voluntary student registration, initially for information technology students from the third semester onwards who have achieved good academic results in the most recent semester.

Students can participate free of charge, receive certificates after passing a separate accreditation exam to ensure quality, and are included in the list of strategic human resources – ready to meet the needs of government agencies and businesses when necessary.

According to Dr. Le Truong Tung, this is the initial experimental phase of FPT University, in which AI is applied to the maximum extent in stages such as content creation, test design, and video production. The entire process follows the guidance of the professional department, with the goal of mastering the technology so that AI performs exactly as required, replacing the time-consuming manual tasks of the past.

"In the current context, we have been overcoming many challenges, including a major challenge at FPT University – that is, we must train a sufficiently dynamic and high-quality workforce to meet the upcoming strong transformation of the nation. This is also one of the key tasks that FPT University has identified," shared Dr. Le Truong Tung.

Within the framework of the Human Resource Development Forum - a new impetus for implementing Resolution 57/NQ-TW, Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Thuy, Director of the Private Economic Development Research Office of FPT, also expressed her agreement on the skills that the workforce of the new era needs to possess.

Currently, both the public and private sectors are facing a severe shortage of high-quality human resources, especially those with in-depth knowledge of science and technology, digital transformation experts, green transformation specialists, and those capable of restructuring business operations.

Ms. Thuy proposed three strategic human resource groups that need to be trained: specialized science and technology engineers, intelligent managers, and business analysts. These are key forces for successfully implementing digital transformation and developing the digital economy in the new era.

At the Forum, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, General Director of FPT Group, also stated that human resources in the new era need to have a mindset and understanding of law, as well as a system design mindset.

"Previously, we focused on end users, but now, we need to broaden our vision to include businesses, citizens, and the government. Knowledge of systems thinking needs to be incorporated into the curriculum, and schools in the alliance will share technology and training platforms. Graduates will have a solid foundation to achieve breakthroughs. Teachers can develop criteria, and schools can then personalize them to suit their students," Mr. Khoa said.

In addition to announcing the supplementary training program for strategic reserve forces to implement Resolution 57/NQ-TW, FPT University signed an agreement to establish and launch the Strategic Human Resources Alliance for the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW with four leading academies, universities, and colleges, including: Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Academy of Cryptography; Hanoi University of Science and Technology; University of Technology - Vietnam National University, Hanoi; and FPT University.

The alliance is expected to contribute to building and developing a generation of highly competent, technologically savvy personnel equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills, ready to participate in the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW. The academies and universities will sign an agreement to establish and launch the Strategic Human Resources Alliance for the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW.
