Dr. Le Truong Tung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT University, announced the training program for the University's strategic reserve force.
The program is designed specifically for information technology students at FPT University, aiming to build a strategic reserve force, ready to participate in implementing Resolution 57/NQ-TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
Dr. Le Truong Tung said that the program is expected to include two in-depth courses and will be implemented in the form of online learning, using the platform of strategic partner Coursera, to maximize the quality of online learning programs.
Assessment and evaluation will be conducted through projects, with a grading system, accompanied by Coursera certificates confirmed by FPT University. The program is expected to start from the summer semester of 2025 with module 1 and continue with module 2 in the fall semester of 2025.
The program consists of 8 knowledge blocks. Of which, the first 4 contents are considered important components of the digital transformation ecosystem, including: state management and public administration; business and organization management; digital economy and digital finance; customer experience and digital marketing.
The next four contents belong to the core competency group, helping to equip organizations, businesses and public authorities with the ability to implement digital transformation at the system level.
Training content is designed around the digital transformation ecosystem, including government, business, digital economy, digital finance, and digital marketing. The core competency group will aim to form the ability to organize and implement digital transformation at the system level – essential for future human resources.
All of the above content is concretized into lectures, which can be readily deployed to a large number of students at FPT University.
Signing ceremony of the Strategic Human Resources Alliance to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW
The program will be piloted by allowing students to voluntarily register, initially applying to information technology students from semester 3 and above, with good academic results in the most recent semester.
Students are free to participate, receive a certificate after passing a separate assessment to ensure quality and are included in the list of strategic human resources - ready to meet the needs of state agencies and businesses when necessary.
According to Dr. Le Truong Tung, this is the initial experimental step of FPT University, in which AI is applied to the maximum in stages such as content creation, test design and video production. The entire process follows the direction of the professional department, with the goal of mastering the technology so that AI can perform as required, replacing the time-consuming manual work of the past.
"In the current context, we have been overcoming many challenges, including a major challenge at FPT University - that is, we must train a large and qualified workforce to meet the upcoming strong transformation of the country. This is also one of the key tasks that FPT University has identified," Dr. Le Truong Tung shared.
Within the framework of the Human Resource Development Forum - a new impetus to implement Resolution 57/NQ-TW, Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Thuy, Director of the Office of FPT Private Economic Development Research, also expressed her opinion on the skills that new-age human resources need.
Currently, both the public and private sectors are seriously lacking in high-quality human resources, especially personnel with in-depth knowledge of science and technology, experts in digital transformation, green transformation, and those capable of restructuring business operations.
Ms. Thuy proposed three strategic human resource groups that need to be trained: specialized science and technology engineers, smart managers and business analysts. These are the key forces to successfully implement digital transformation and develop the digital economy in the new era.
At the Forum, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, General Director of FPT Corporation, also said that human resources in the new era need to have legal thinking and understanding, and system design thinking.
"Previously, we focused on end users, but now, we need to broaden our vision, aiming at businesses, people and the state. Knowledge of systems thinking needs to be included in the curriculum, schools in the alliance will share technology and training platforms. Graduates will have a solid foundation to be able to make breakthroughs. Teachers can build a set of criteria, from which schools can personalize to suit their students," said Mr. Khoa.
In addition to announcing the additional training program for strategic reserve forces implementing Resolution 57/NQ-TW, FPT University signed to establish and launch the Strategic Human Resources Alliance to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW with 4 leading academies, universities and colleges including: Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Academy of Cryptography; Hanoi University of Science and Technology; University of Technology - Vietnam National University, Hanoi; FPT University.
The alliance is expected to contribute to building and developing a generation of human resources with good professional capacity, understanding of technology, equipped with necessary knowledge and skills, ready to participate in implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW. Academies and universities will sign to establish and launch the Strategic Human Resources Alliance to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW.
