Ships of the Pacific Fleet, Russian Navy visit Da Nang

(Chinhphu.vn) - On May 10, a fleet of ships of the Pacific Fleet, Russian Navy including: corvette Rezkii, corvette Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Cidengapov and medium-sized tanker Pechenga with 262 officers, sailors and staff commanded by Colonel Anciferov Alexey Vitalievich docked at Tien Sa port, starting a courtesy visit to Da Nang City from May 10-14.

During the visit, the fleet commanders laid wreaths at the Da Nang City Martyrs Memorial, paid courtesy visits to the leaders of the Da Nang City People's Committee, the Naval Region 3 Command and the Military Region 5 Command; officers and sailors of the fleet visited and interacted with officers and soldiers of the Naval Region 3, and took part in local tours; and conducted joint training between Vietnamese Navy ships and ships of the Pacific Fleet and the Federal Navy.

The visit of the fleet of the Pacific Fleet, Navy of the Russian Federation to Da Nang City this time helps to strengthen the friendly, traditional and mutual trust relationship, contributing to promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation; at the same time, demonstrating the role and foreign image of Da Nang City, helping to promote the image of the city to international friends.
