According to Mr. Tran Xuan Tham, in the past, Long Thanh district had to relocate the technical infrastructure system of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project at many locations. Therefore, the locality coordinated with the electricity agency to plan rotating power outages to relocate the electrical infrastructure system to serve the construction work.
For Long Duc Resettlement Area, Long Thanh District Project Management Board worked with the electricity agency and agreed on the time to cut off the power on May 11 to serve the connection of the power grid system to serve households in this resettlement area.
Recently, many households, although having moved to Long Duc Resettlement Area for nearly half a year, have not yet been connected to the electricity system to serve their daily needs. Households have to temporarily hook up electricity from many sources at high prices. However, due to temporary hookups, the electricity quality is weak, intermittent, and unstable, greatly affecting people's lives. In addition, temporary hookups also pose many potential risks of electrical safety, especially during the upcoming rainy season.
Long Duc resettlement area has an area of nearly 30 hectares, and construction started in February 2023. This is the first resettlement area out of 4 planned resettlement areas to serve the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project in the province to start construction. Up to now, Long Duc resettlement area has basically completed the construction of the infrastructure system, and at the same time, more than 100 households have been and are building houses to move to live in this resettlement area.
