Faced with global challenges such as climate change, resource degradation, environmental pollution, urbanization pressure, etc., it is necessary to transform the development model towards low emissions, resource saving, using renewable energy associated with circular economy, harmoniously developing 3 pillars: Economy - Society - Environment.
In the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, Lam Dong also clearly identified: Comprehensive, rapid and sustainable development is a consistent strategic goal. That spirit has been institutionalized through the Lam Dong Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 with many major orientations: Developing green economy, circular economy; converting from agricultural production to agricultural economy; prioritizing renewable energy, agricultural processing industry; effectively exploiting bauxite - aluminum resources; protecting, restoring and developing sustainable forests; developing green tourism based on cultural identity and natural resources.

In the near future, the new Lam Dong province will be formed on the basis of merging the three provinces of Dak Nong - Lam Dong - Binh Thuan, which will open up huge space and potential for development, with forests, seas, border gates, and seaports; it is the capital of a number of industrial crops, fruit trees, bauxite-aluminum industry and tourism services.
This is a golden opportunity to form a new growth pole with a large enough scale, strong enough driving force and wide enough influence, contributing to leading the green economic trend and sustainable development for the Central Highlands - Central region and the whole country.
