Speed up the construction of social housing for armed forces

Major General Ha Nhu Loi, Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics and Technology, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Social Housing Policy and the Ministry of National Defense, spoke at the working session.

Currently, in Dong Nai, there are 10 locations proposed to build social housing for the armed forces. Of these, nine locations have been proposed, consulted and basically agreed upon by the Provincial People's Committee.

The General Department of Logistics and Engineering is compiling information to submit to the Ministry of National Defense to send to the Provincial People's Committee to unify information on a number of projects. However, the implementation process still faces some obstacles and difficulties that require continued coordination to implement.

Representatives of the Ministry of National Defense agencies presented the contents of the working session.

The allocation of land for social housing construction for the armed forces is carried out from three sources: First, the location proposed by the Ministry of National Defense for local authorities to study and agree on in accordance with the planning. Second, the local authorities introduce proposed locations for the Ministry of National Defense to study and respond, and 20% from commercial housing sources. The rest is the coordination between local military agencies and departments and branches in advising the province to have clean land to build social housing in general, including building social housing for the armed forces.

Colonel Nguyen Tan Linh, Deputy Commander of Military Region 7, spoke at the meeting.

At the meeting, the opinions expressed clarified the causes of some of the difficulties being encountered and proposed many solutions to overcome them.

In his concluding remarks, Major General Ha Nhu Loi acknowledged the efforts of Dong Nai province in implementing the task of developing housing for the armed forces and emphasized that developing housing for the armed forces is an important political task that needs to be prioritized for implementation, especially after implementing two-level local government.

He requested relevant agencies and units to promote the spirit of initiative, the Provincial Military Command to coordinate with agencies and units to remove difficulties and obstacles in the best direction, in accordance with regulations and in accordance with the province's planning. The task of building social housing for the armed forces is assigned by the Government to the Ministry of National Defense, so agencies and units focus on creating the best possible conditions for officers and soldiers eligible to buy or rent social housing to have conditions to settle down, find a job, and work with peace of mind.
