Since the beginning of the year, the whole province has sown over 327,300 hectares of rice, reaching 99.34% of the plan, harvested nearly 224,300 hectares, accounting for 68.51% of the sown area, yield 5.99 tons/ha, output 1.343 million tons, reaching 70.62% of the plan.
The provincial agricultural sector continues to deploy and replicate the 1 million hectare high-quality rice project, with an area of nearly 5,000 hectares to date (including 196.8 hectares of pilot models and nearly 4,800 hectares replicated with 30 participating cooperatives).
Through preliminary assessment, the average yield is from 6.5-7 tons/ha (fresh rice), costs are reduced by at least 15-17% compared to outside the model, profits are 20-30% higher, and environmental pollution is limited.
In the last months of the year, the agricultural sector will guide farmers to take good care of the Summer-Autumn and Autumn-Winter rice crops, recommend balanced fertilization to keep the rice plants healthy and prevent lodging; continue to monitor the smart insect monitoring system and pest forecasting points to guide farmers in effective prevention and control, prevent the spread of epidemics, ensure productivity and output according to plan; prepare well for the 2025-2026 Winter-Spring crop production plan.
Replicating the model of implementing the Project "Sustainable development of 1 million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta region by 2030"...
