The Math exam was assessed to have a clear classification. Many candidates said that the content followed the program closely, in line with the orientation of assessing capacity, but also had advanced questions to identify students with good and excellent academic performance.

According to candidates, if they have a firm grasp of basic knowledge and multiple choice test-taking skills, completing the test within the allotted time is completely possible.

Teachers remind candidates to fill in the necessary information completely and accurately.

Candidate Le Truong Quynh My, a 9th grader at Tran Phu Secondary School, Gia Nghia City, taking the exam for Chu Van An High School, said: “The Math test consists of 30 questions, including 20 multiple choice questions, 6 true/false questions and 4 short answer questions. I think the test is designed quite reasonably, with clear classification. About 40-50% of the questions are at an advanced level, requiring thinking and application skills. However, students with good academic performance and serious review can still achieve about 7-8 points if they do the test carefully. The more difficult questions are suitable for students taking the exam for specialized schools or selective classes.”

Candidate Nguyen Nhan Hoa, who registered for Chu Van An High School, said: “The Math test closely followed the curriculum, especially the core content of grade 9. However, there were quite a few questions that required reasoning and flexible thinking. I chose to do the test from easy to difficult, prioritizing the basic questions first to ensure a solid score. I completed about 70% of the test and was quite satisfied with my performance.”
