According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, at 7:30 this morning (June 27), more than 1 million candidates nationwide will be given the exam papers and at 7:35 they will officially start taking the Literature exam for the 2024 high school graduation exam. The Literature exam is in essay form, candidates will take the test within 120 minutes.

The prose section can include the articles Vo Chong A Phu, Nguoi Lai Do Song Da... Candidates need to grasp the knowledge, lessons in a systematic, solid way, and have solid writing skills. Only then, when the questions change, candidates can still master the opportunity.
Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the 2024 high school graduation Literature sample exam to help candidates access and visualize the exam format, and as a document for teachers and students to organize effective review.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, 2024 is the last year of teaching and testing according to the 2006 GeneralEducation Program. Therefore, the 2024 high school graduation exam will basically maintain the same structure as the 2023 high school graduation exam. However, in order to prepare for the transition to a new phase, the exam will have a reasonable increase in some content related to practical application to gradually approach the orientation of capacity assessment in accordance with the requirements for developing learners' capacity and qualities of the 2018 General Education Program.
Specifically, in terms of structure, format and differentiation level, the basic exam remains stable with 4 cognitive levels: recognition, understanding, application and high application; consistent with the goals of the High School Graduation Exam.
Regarding question format, Literature is tested in essay form, and the test is designed to encourage students to be creative and limit sample essays.

Regarding the content, the exam ensures scientific and accurate knowledge and skills standards of the 2006 General Education Program; with higher differentiation, especially questions at the application and high application levels. In addition, the exam questions have questions that aim to solve real life and social problems, which are built in a way that is close to the orientation of assessing learners' abilities, helping to assess candidates' abilities fairly and accurately.

The Ministry of Education and Training informed on the afternoon of June 26 that this year, there were a total of 1,071,393 candidates registered for the exam, of which the total number of candidates who came to complete the exam procedures was 1,060,356, accounting for 98.96%; The total number of candidates who did not come to complete the exam procedures was 11,037, accounting for 1.04%.
Overall, the exam registration procedure took place safely, orderly, seriously, and in accordance with the regulations. Some candidates who have not yet completed the procedures will continue to complete the procedures at the beginning of the Literature exam.
Before the exam, in some groups and forums on the internet, information was shared and spread about "leaking the 2024 high school graduation exam questions", causing a stir in public opinion. After receiving feedback on the above incident, the Ministry of Education and Training discussed and requested the Ministry of Public Security to support the verification of the subject posting false information. Currently, the Ministry of Public Security is organizing verification to handle according to the provisions of law.
Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong, Head of the National Steering Committee for the 2024 High School Graduation Exam, said: "We all know that in the context of current technological development, it is inevitable that more and more sophisticated devices will appear - not only for exam cheating but also for many other activities. Our problem is to do a good job of prevention.
In order to detect and prevent cheating devices, the Ministry of Education and Training has coordinated with functional units of the Ministry of Public Security to train all exam staff. Next, the police of provinces/cities continue to train teachers and staff working in the locality on identifying high-tech devices and the risks that candidates may use them.
We identify prevention, identification, and containment as the main tasks. In particular, we continue to emphasize human work. No matter how widespread high-tech devices for cheating purposes are, the most important thing is still choosing people. At the same time, we need to do a good job of communication so that candidates understand the seriousness of being discovered cheating and strictly handle cases of intentional violations.
The Ministry of Public Security and the Public Security of 63 provinces and cities are closely coordinating with the Education sector to effectively prevent cheating using high-tech devices in this year's high school graduation exam.
The 2024 high school graduation exam will take place from June 27 to 29. In the morning of June 27, candidates will take the essay test in Literature and the afternoon Math test. In the morning of June 28, candidates will take the combined test in Natural Sciences or Social Sciences and in the afternoon, they will take the English test.
