However, there are also parts in this year's 10th grade literature exam that are considered "vague and easy to get lost in".
Luu Quang Vu's poems on 10th grade exam make students emotional
At exam locations such as Phan Chau Trinh High School, Tran Phu High School, etc., most candidates walked out of the exam room with a relieved expression, although they were still a bit worried about the social discussion section.
This year's exam consists of two parts: reading comprehension (4 points) and writing (6 points), based on the poem "Talking to my children at the end of the year" by poet Luu Quang Vu.

Candidate Thanh Hang (Ho Nghinh Secondary School, Hai Chau District) said that the reading comprehension section requires the application of basic knowledge such as rhetorical devices, methods of expression, and personal feelings about poetic images and emotions.
"If you review the skills section carefully, this year's reading comprehension questions won't be too difficult to score points," Hang shared.
The writing section includes literary and social argumentation. In which, the literary argumentation excerpt continues to exploit the poem Talking to children at the end of the year , requiring analysis of metaphorical images expressing deep father-child affection - a topic considered rich in emotions, easily touching the writer's heart.

Open social discourse - opportunity or "trap"
The most controversial part was the social discussion with the topic: "Presenting what young people need to do to convince their parents to trust and accompany them on the path to good things in the future".
For Thanh Hang, this is a very familiar topic. "The relationship between parents and children nowadays is somewhat distant due to the busy pace of life. This essay is an opportunity for us to express our desire to understand and accompany our parents - not only in studying but also in life orientation," Hang expressed.
However, many students think that this part of the question "lacks focus" and makes it easy for students to get lost. Minh Khoi (Nguyen Hue Secondary School) commented: "The question can be understood in many ways - positive or negative. If not well controlled, students can easily get caught up in analyzing the negative side of family relationships and forget the question's requirement is to 'convince parents'."
Khoi, a good student, self-assessed that he could get around 7-8 points. He said that the reading comprehension section seemed easy but it was easy to lose points for small ideas. If he did not present them fully, it would be difficult to get the maximum score.
Minh Khoi (Nguyen Hue Secondary School) and his father were happy after the literature exam.
Ngan Ha (Trung Vuong Secondary School) and Thuy Duong (Kim Dong Secondary School) shared the same opinion: this year's exam questions were emotional and topical, but not clear enough.
"The social discussion section was a bit general, not clearly orienting a specific perspective. It took us quite a while to think about which direction to go," said Ngan Ha.
Both also believe that this is an open-ended question that helps students express their true thoughts, but places high demands on the skills of choosing ideas, reasoning, and maintaining focus.
Candidates finished the first exam quite easily, difficult to get high scores but "easy to breathe"
The 10th grade entrance exam in Da Nang continues with English this afternoon. Tomorrow morning (June 3), candidates will take the math exam, which is also the last subject in this year's exam.
