According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, all candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam must be present at the exam site at 9:30 a.m. on June 5 to review exam regulations and have their personal information checked.
"On June 5, the chairman of the examination council will assign members to disseminate examination regulations; confirm errors in candidates' full names, year of birth, place of birth, gender, ethnicity, priority subjects... and transfer this information to the Thu Duc City Examination Steering Committee, districts, and examination council secretariat for review and update," informed a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, when present at the exam room, candidates need to present their ID card and registration form. If they do not have an ID card, they must present their student card.
In case of loss of ID card or registration form, candidates must immediately report to the chairman of the examination board for consideration and handling.
"If a candidate arrives at the test site more than 15 minutes late after the test start time signal, he/she will not be allowed to take the test," said Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc, deputy director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.
Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc noted: "Before taking the exam, candidates must fully write their registration number and information on the exam questions, exam papers, and scratch paper.
When receiving the exam, you need to carefully check the number of pages and the quality of the printed pages; if you find that the exam is missing pages or is torn, damaged, smudged, or faded, you must immediately report to the invigilator, no later than 5 minutes from the start of the exam time.
In addition, candidates must immediately report to the supervisor when someone else copies their test or intentionally interferes with their test; they must not discuss, exchange, copy other people's test or let others copy their test.
According to Mr. Quoc, candidates are not allowed to use illegal documents to take the exam. "If candidates want to give their opinion, they must raise their hand to ask the supervisor for permission and stand up to present their opinion publicly.
During the test, students are not allowed to mark or make their own symbols, are not allowed to write with pencil, except to draw circles with a compass; and are only allowed to write with one color of ink: blue or black," Mr. Quoc emphasized.

How are violations of exam regulations handled?
Regarding cases of violations of the 10th grade entrance exam regulations, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that it will handle them as follows: apply a reprimand when the candidate violates the exam regulations for the first time.
This form will be decided by the invigilator when detecting the behavior of a student looking at another person's test; glancing to see the test or exchanging information with another candidate by words, gestures or other forms of communication in the examination room. A candidate who is reprimanded during an exam will have 25% of the total score of that exam deducted.
A warning will be applied if a candidate has been reprimanded once but continues to violate the reprimand level. This form of discipline is decided by the supervisor, along with evidence (if any) when discovering that a student exchanges papers or scratch paper; copies papers from other candidates or lets other candidates copy their papers. A candidate who is warned during an exam will have 50% of the total score of that exam deducted.
The form of suspension from the exam will be applied if the candidate commits one of the following serious violations: has been warned but continues to violate; brings unauthorized items into the exam room; takes the exam papers out or receives answers from outside; writes or draws content unrelated to the exam; has actions that are quarrelsome or threatening to other candidates and those on duty in the exam council; does not comply with instructions when moving in the exam area. In this case, the invigilator will make a record, collect the evidence, notify the chairman of the exam council and security to decide, and report to the exam council via the direct exam phone number.
According to the Department of Testing andEducation Quality Assessment (Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training), in this case, candidates must submit their exam papers, exam questions, and scratch paper to the invigilator and must leave the exam room immediately after the disciplinary decision is made.
However, candidates are only allowed to leave the examination area when the examination time is over; the Department of Education and Training will cancel all examination results of this student.
Also according to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the 10th grade entrance exam marking council will apply the form of giving 0 points if the exam is copied from documents illegally brought into the exam room; there are two or more answers for one exam; the exam has the handwriting of two or more people; parts of the exam are written on scrap paper or paper that does not comply with regulations.
The decision to give a score of 0 will be made by the chairman of the examination board based on the written report of the head of the essay examination.
In addition, the Department will also cancel the exam results and prepare a file to send to the competent authority for consideration and handling according to the provisions of law for candidates who violate one of the following errors: falsifying documents to enjoy preferential or incentive regimes; allowing others to take the exam or do the test for them in any form; causing disturbance or sabotaging the exam; assaulting those involved in the exam organization or other candidates.
Immediately notify the examination board of any abnormalities.
The invigilator is responsible for organizing the examination in the examination room, not allowing candidates to leave the examination room during the entire examination time; preserving the examination papers in the examination room; and making records to handle candidates who violate the examination rules.
During the exam, if unusual situations occur, especially situations that affect the rights of candidates, the invigilator must immediately notify the chairman of the examination board through the exam supervisor for consideration and decision before handling.
You can only leave the exam room after 2/3 of the time.
Mr. Nguyen Van Qui, Head of the Department of Testing and Education Quality Assessment (Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training), said that during the test, if candidates want to ask for more or change the test paper, the test supervisor will only allow them to add or change another paper after checking the specific situation.
All extra, damaged, or extra sheets of paper must not be torn, cut, or trimmed, but must be kept in a separate place. The invigilator will not collect any work done on scratch paper that is attached to the exam paper.
In case the invigilator mistakenly signs the candidate's answer sheet, the candidate cannot be asked to change the answer sheet if the time has already passed.
The invigilators should let the candidates do the test normally and handle any irregularities by recording them in the minutes so that the secretariat and the examination board can handle them according to instructions, without affecting the candidates' rights.
In case of incorrect exam numbering, the invigilator must report to the chairman of the examination council and record it in the exam paper cover (for errors in 1-2 positions) or make an unusual record (if errors in 3 positions or more), and at the same time organize the arrangement and re-numbering of the exam papers correctly.

In addition, the Department of Education and Training also stipulates that students taking the 10th grade entrance exam are only allowed to leave the exam room after 2/3 of the exam time and must submit their test papers, exam questions, and scratch paper before leaving the exam room and exam area.
If a candidate must temporarily leave the examination room, the invigilator must notify the invigilator to coordinate implementation.
Candidates leaving the examination room or examination area in case of emergency must be supervised by the police and the invigilator until the end of the examination session and decided by the chairman of the examination board.
"When the test time is over, candidates must stop working immediately and keep their test papers. When submitting their test papers, they must clearly write down the number of test papers they have submitted and sign the two test receipts; if they cannot complete the test, they must also submit the test papers.
Besides, candidates need to strictly follow the instructions of the supervisor and the person in charge at the examination council when an unusual incident occurs," Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc noted.
It is known that this year, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City will arrange for the chairman of the examination council to be a leader of a high school or middle school. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that candidates are allowed to bring into the exam room the following tools: pens, rulers, pencils, erasers, squares, graphing rulers, drawing tools; handheld calculators without text editing function, without memory cards and without integration; periodic table of chemical elements; grade 9 history and geography atlas - geography section (according to the 2018 General Education Program - Vietnam Education Publishing House).
Candidates are not allowed to bring into the examination room: carbon paper, erasers, alcoholic beverages; weapons and explosives, flammable substances; documents, communication equipment (receiving, broadcasting information, recording audio, video) or containing information to cheat during the examination; periodic table of chemical elements and solubility tables.
