Pepper prices today, June 5, 2025, show that the domestic market has fluctuated slightly compared to the previous trading session. The average purchase price in key areas reached about 144,800 VND/kg, with the downward trend prevailing in most major production localities.
In specific areas, pepper prices in Gia Lai decreased by VND 1,000/kg, down to VND 144,000/kg, the lowest level among the surveyed areas. Meanwhile, pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau decreased by VND 1,000/kg, reaching VND 145,000/kg, and in Dak Lak, a similar decrease was recorded, down to VND 146,000/kg, the highest level.
Pepper prices in Binh Phuoc decreased by VND1,000/kg to VND144,000/kg, while in Dak Nong it remained at VND145,000/kg, unchanged from the previous session.
In general, the domestic pepper market is showing a slight downward trend, with a decrease of VND 1,000/kg in most key areas. This can be explained by the stable pepper supply after the harvest, along with the not-so-high consumption demand during this period. However, producers and traders need to closely monitor market developments to have appropriate business strategies.

The price of black pepper from Indonesia is at its highest, reaching 7,425 USD/ton, equivalent to about 194,936 VND/kg. This is the highest price among the pepper varieties surveyed. The price of white pepper from Indonesia is also quite high, at 10,124 USD/ton, equivalent to 265,796 VND/kg, showing a clear difference between the two types of pepper.
Pepper from Brazil and Malaysia was priced lower, with black pepper from Brazil at $6,150/tonne and black pepper from Malaysia at $9,100/tonne. This reflects competition among pepper producing countries, especially between Indonesia and Malaysia.
Meanwhile, Vietnam's pepper prices are lower than those of other countries, at around 6,300 USD/ton for 500 g/l black pepper and 6,400 USD/ton for 550 g/l black pepper. Vietnam's white pepper prices are also at 9,300 USD/ton, showing competition not only in quality but also in price among pepper varieties on the international market.
Overall, the pepper market is currently stable, with slight price fluctuations and no major changes. This shows that supply and demand are well balanced. However, producers and traders still need to closely monitor market developments to have appropriate business strategies.
