More than 4,500 billion VND invested in renovating and upgrading National Highway 14D

(QNO) - On June 4, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung signed Decision No. 1509 approving the investment policy of the project "Renovation and upgrading of National Highway 14D, Quang Nam province".

This investment project belongs to group B. The total investment is 4,518 billion VND, including: increased revenue, savings from the central budget of 4,513 billion VND and the provincial budget (prepared for investment) of 5 billion VND. The project will be implemented from 2025 - 2027.

According to the decision, the project will complete the traffic infrastructure, serve travel and transport of goods on National Highway 14D, connect Laos through Nam Giang International Border Gate, contribute to socio -economic development, strengthen security and defense of Quang Nam in particular and Vietnam in general.

The total length of the route is about 74.4km. Starting point: Km0+00 intersects with Ho Chi Minh road at Km1.332+610 in Ca Ry commune, Nam Giang district. Ending point: Km74+376 adjacent to Nam Giang international border gate in La Dee commune, Nam Giang district.

National Highway 14D will be built as a grade III - IV road according to TCVN 4054 - 2005, with a high-grade A1 road surface structure; bridges will be built with permanent scale, reinforced concrete structure, prestressed reinforced concrete and invested in lighting systems through some necessary sections to enhance traffic safety.

The Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to coordinate with relevant agencies to complete project documents and procedures, and submit them to competent authorities for investment decisions in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Public Investment and related laws.
