Quang Nam won 2 awards at the 2nd South Central Journalism Awards 2025

Towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), on the morning of June 6 in Ninh Thuan province, the Vietnam Journalists Association coordinated with the Ninh Thuan Provincial Journalists Association to organize the 2nd South Central Journalism Awards Ceremony, 2025.

The 2nd South Central Journalism Awards 2025 had more than 200 entries. The Organizing Committee selected 90 excellent entries for the final round and selected 22 outstanding entries to award prizes. Of these, 2 entries won First Prize, 4 entries won Second Prize, 6 entries won Third Prize and 10 entries won Encouragement Prize.

First prize in the print and electronic newspaper categories went to the 4-part series “Emulation Innovation in the Party” by the group of authors Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuan, Le Ba Son, Le Ngoc Duc, Trinh Hien Thu – Quang Ngai Newspaper. First prize in the radio and television category went to the documentary “Comrades’ Area” by the group of authors Ho Nhat Thao, Huynh Thanh Huyen, Tran Vu Linh, Tran Tran Quy ( Phu Yen Radio and Television Station).

Quang Nam Newspaper and Radio - Television Station had 2 award-winning works including Third Prize in the printed newspaper category with the 3-part series "Sát trung tình quân dân" by the group of authors A Lang Nguoc and Nguyen Manh Thanh Cong, and Encouragement Prize in the radio - television category by the group of authors Bui Tan Sy - Nguyen Phuc Lam, with the television report "A Song Ba - Mot long following the Party".

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Tran Trong Dung - Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association in charge of the South congratulated the 22 authors whose works won the 2nd South Central Journalism Award in 2025. Mr. Tran Trong Dung said that with the policy of merging and reorganizing the two-level local government apparatus, the area of operation in the field of journalism will be wider, with many fields and issues to exploit and convey, requiring press agencies and journalists to be flexible and creative to produce high-quality journalistic works, constantly improve their political awareness and mettle, and strictly implement the regulations of the Vietnam Journalists Association on journalistic ethics. In addition, all levels of the association, editorial offices, and press agencies need to pay attention to directing and selecting high-quality journalistic works, modern journalism styles to participate in major journalism awards such as the National Journalism Award, the Golden Hammer and Sickle Journalism Award, the Dien Hong Journalism Award, etc.

On this occasion, Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper awarded 25 scholarships, each worth 2 million VND, to students with difficult circumstances who have made efforts to excel in their studies.
