Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Trong Duong - Rector of Quang Nam University said that in recent times, the school has always paid attention and focused on applying artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching and learning among staff, lecturers and students.
The organization of the conference is an opportunity to create an academic forum to exchange and share research and AI applications and receive 60 articles from authors from more than 30 universities and scientific research facilities across the country.
According to Dr. Pham Nguyen Hong Ngu - Vice President of Quang Nam University, the workshop focused on exchanging, discussing and clarifying key contents, including the development trends of AI in education and scientific research - outstanding achievements, pioneering technologies and forecasts of development in the near future; AI application in education - the role of AI in designing training programs, learning management, evaluating learning outcomes, personalizing the learning process and supporting teaching; AI application in scientific research - automating data analysis, knowledge mining, supporting writing and publishing articles, developing research models based on big data.
In addition, discuss challenges when deploying AI in education and research - ethical issues, data security, digital capacity gap between training institutions, human resources and infrastructure; solutions and development orientations - support policies, building AI human resource training strategies, developing digital ecosystems in education, enhancing interdisciplinary and inter-institutional research cooperation.
“Through the workshop, we hope to contribute to connecting the network of researchers, lecturers and managers, towards building a strong academic community, together promoting the effective, humane and sustainable application of AI in education and scientific research in Vietnam.
Today's exchanges and discussions, whether theoretical or practical, can be the starting point for joint projects, inter-institutional scientific works and innovative training programs, aiming at the sustainable development of the education sector in the age of artificial intelligence," Ms. Ngu shared.
