Forecasting future coffee price trends

Tomorrow, June 7, 2025, domestic coffee prices may continue to receive positive signals, easier to understand for those who are not familiar with economics. With the recovery momentum from the world market, coffee prices in key growing areas such as Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai or Lam Dong are likely to increase slightly, helping farmers and traders feel more excited after a long period of price decline.

The strong support from Vietnam’s coffee exports is very positive. Record export turnover and high international prices are opening up opportunities for a successful business season in the upcoming third quarter. This not only strengthens confidence but also creates momentum for domestic coffee prices to maintain a positive trend tomorrow.

Globally, coffee prices could continue to rise if favorable factors continue to hold. For example, adverse weather in Brazil – the world’s largest coffee producer – and demand from Europe and investment funds could help prices rise further. This would have a positive spillover effect on the Vietnamese market.

However, not everything is smooth sailing. Risks such as global economic fluctuations, USD exchange rates or international political situations can still affect. Therefore, coffee growers and businesses need to monitor closely to make the right decisions.

Based on the developments on June 6, 2025, domestic coffee prices increased from 1,400 to 1,800 VND/kg depending on the region, while world prices on the two main exchanges also jumped to the highest level of the week. This recovery was driven by the strengthening of the Brazilian Real, which caused producers here to sell less, while also triggering hedge funds to buy back to cover losses.

In addition, the downward pressure on the USD in the international market due to concerns about the US economy and trade policy also contributed to supporting coffee prices. Although Robusta supply has shown signs of improvement, the market is currently in an oversold state, creating an opportunity for a price increase due to the closing of short positions. Therefore, tomorrow promises to be a bright day for coffee prices.
