Ensuring electricity supply for key enterprises

Identifying that the production activities of enterprises are important to the socio-economic development of the province, especially promoting double-digit economic growth in 2025 and the following years, the province has requested the Electricity sector to accelerate the investment progress in the construction of key power projects that provide power for the province; at the same time, prepare specific plans and implement the electricity load adjustment program if necessary to ensure the security and safety of the power system.

According to the National Electricity System and Market Operation Company (NSMO), in 2025, the peak capacity of the Northern power system is expected to grow by 11.37%, and the total electricity output of the Northern power system is expected to grow by 11.2% compared to 2024. This will be a huge pressure on the operation of the power system.

To ensure electricity supply during peak periods in 2025 and the following years, the province has directed agencies, departments and branches to resolutely implement a number of key tasks on implementing the directions of the Government, the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Industry and Trade .

Thanks to good state management of energy, the electricity supply situation for industrial parks (IPs) in the province is currently improving. However, with the economic situation gradually improving, foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) are expanding production, the demand for load in Vinh Phuc in the coming time is very large.

To ensure electricity supply during the peak hot season in 2025 and the following years, the province is continuing to invest in developing the power grid system according to the plan; speeding up site clearance and energizing projects, promptly supplementing power sources at voltage levels of 500kV, 220kV and 110kV; and improving state management capacity on energy saving.

Based on the progress of investment implementation and registration of capacity demand of investors in the Industrial Park, Vinh Phuc Power Company continues to develop plans to ensure power supply in extreme weather conditions and increased load; proactively exchange and grasp the production and business situation of enterprises to improve the accuracy of load forecasting, proactively adjust production plans and shift times.

Promote communication about difficulties in supplying electricity during the hot season in 2025 to organizations, businesses and people to share difficulties and save electricity.

Strengthen coordination in handling violations of the grid safety corridor to minimize grid incidents, improve power supply reliability; ensure progress of construction investment projects, improve transmission capacity for the power system, prevent overload, release capacity, carry out major repairs, and perform regular repairs to serve power supply.

In order to limit unnecessary risks related to electricity supply for enterprises in the industrial park; it is inevitable that there will be times when localized cases of force majeure, incidents due to the impact of the national power grid, incidents due to the impact of extreme weather, etc., the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board has issued a document requesting investors of industrial parks, production and business enterprises in the industrial park to closely coordinate with Vinh Phuc Electricity Company, electricity management and operation units in the industrial park to prepare scenarios and appropriate production plans to implement the voluntary electricity load adjustment program (DR) according to regulations when notified by the electricity unit in case of necessity to ensure the security and safety of the electricity system or cases where it is mandatory to stop or reduce the level of electricity supply to perform professional tasks of the electricity industry.

Timely give opinions to agree with Vinh Phuc Electricity Company, the unit managing and operating electricity in the Industrial Park, on the time of stopping and reducing the power supply according to the plan to ensure that it does not greatly affect the production plan of the enterprise.

Immediately implement measures to save electricity, cut down on unnecessary equipment in the production and business process. Proactively arrange backup generators to avoid affecting and causing economic losses to businesses.

Along with that, investors of industrial parks are responsible for propagating and closely coordinating with production and business enterprises in the industrial parks to effectively implement the province's directives and directions on electricity supply during peak periods in 2025 and in the coming time.
