Arrived, miss Nha Trang again

Every time I come to Nha Trang, I love this city a little more. And without any intention, I gradually return to Nha Trang…

I have known Nha Trang since I was little, through the song Nha Trang, Autumn Comes Back by musician Van Ky on the radio with the proud sound of the coastal city. Then growing up, learning to love, my friends and I were crazy about the song Nha Trang, Returning Day by talented musician Pham Duy.

In the time of Facebook and YouTube, Nha Trang has appeared quite a lot. Just type in a keyword and click, and Nha Trang will appear quite fully from the past to the present.

Many people make plans to come to Nha Trang in the summer to relax and swim in the sea. Travel agencies invite domestic and foreign tourists with promotional combos. However, my first chance to come to Nha Trang was in the winter. The rain in the Central region was drizzling all the way.

Nha Trang welcomed me as the train slowly entered the station. The announcer's voice was steady: Hello everyone! Train SE2 has arrived at Nha Trang station... I picked up my backpack, fixed my hair, and left the train. Oh, so I've arrived in Nha Trang! My friend welcomed me with a warm hug. I looked back at the station through the night lights - a construction from the French colonial period that Nha Trang has preserved and used, and I found it interesting and valuable.

During my stay in Nha Trang, I visited the Stone Church, Long Son Pagoda, and Ponagar Tower. It must be said that there are many Cham towers in the Central region, but the Ponagar Tower in Nha Trang is probably the most impressive. The tower is located on the Cai River, and is often visited by many domestic and foreign tourists. However, what I love most is when the tower is covered in the shadow of sunset, the streets are about to light up, the grounds are deserted, the wind from the sea and river blows coolly, a few leaves fall from the branches, and the footsteps of late visitors can be clearly heard. That scene seems to bring visitors back to a distant time...

Nha Trang is a peaceful new day. Out at sea, the waves gently lap the sandy shore. Standing on the fifth floor of the hotel, you can see the whole area. The tall buildings soar against the sky. Western and Vietnamese tourists swim, walk, lie on the sand or recline on long chairs with umbrellas.

Like many visitors from afar, when I come to Nha Trang, I want to visit the beautiful scenery. My friend took me to visit Hon Chong. Passing through the ticket gate, I heard the gentle sound of a guitar and the love song Kachiusa. Oh, there are quite a lot of Chinese and Korean tourists today, why is Russian music playing? But in fact, it is not, there are many Russians inside. Play a Russian song to make visitors from far away feel close and familiar.

Then, in high spirits, my friend took me on a cable car across the sea to the Vinpearl Nha Trang tourist area. There is nothing strange about the cable car. But here the cable car does not cross the forest like in Ba Na ( Da Nang City), but crosses the sea so that visitors can freely admire the blue sea.

Nha Trang city has peaceful roads in the sun, especially the two new coastal roads, Tran Phu and Pham Van Dong. Rows of coconut trees, stone benches and green-leafed banyan trees. I went to April 2 Square at night to listen to the sea singing. But perhaps the most favorite is the pass road in Luong Son (Vinh Luong commune). When the afternoon comes, I drive slowly, occasionally stopping to watch the sea. The wind makes my hair flutter.

Having traveled through many provinces and cities along the Central Coast, I understand that Nha Trang has the advantage of a beautiful bay. But to turn it into an attractive destination for investors, domestic and foreign tourists is a process. Many generations of leaders of the province and the city have done this in investing in building infrastructure and attracting investment. And when the city develops, the standard of living and the level of education of the people increase. I feel friendly when I come to Nha Trang to ask about a road I don’t know and receive a polite answer. Going to a cheap restaurant is very fun because of the way of inviting…

According to the orientation to 2030, Khanh Hoa will become a city directly under the Central Government, Nha Trang City is an urban area of the province, the most important issue is probably the long-term vision in planning to expand the city. Nha Trang has succeeded in building a coastal city. However, every urban area needs green carpets. I walked along Luong Son Pass and wished that if more trees and flowers were planted along the way, how beautiful and charming it would be...

I came to Nha Trang and then left. But every time I left, I found myself loving Nha Trang a little more, so without any intention, I returned many times. I really loved Nha Trang before I came, and after I came, I missed… Nha Trang!
