Ho Chi Minh City National University has just officially issued a document implementing the method of giving priority to direct admission of excellent and talented candidates from high schools; giving priority to admission of excellent students from high schools nationwide.
Notably, Ho Chi Minh City National University also issued a list of majors and groups of majors that can be registered for admission using these methods.

How many wishes can each candidate register?
According to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University, this year the priority method of direct admission for excellent and talented candidates from high schools will consider candidates who are excellent in their studies at high schools; candidates who are excellent in their talents in sports and art competitions.
Candidates for this admission must be introduced and confirmed by the principal (or must be authorized by the principal to have the school board sign the confirmation on his behalf) as excellent or talented students of the school and must ensure the main criteria of having good academic performance and good conduct in 3 years of high school; the average score of 3 years of high school is in the top 5 highest students in the school.
Candidates with combined criteria such as: certificates or certificates of merit for winning first, second, or third prizes for excellent students at the provincial/municipal level (choose the highest prize achieved in high school); international foreign language certificates; certificates or certificates of merit, other records related to academic achievements, talents in sports and art competitions and training during high school... are an advantage.
This method has a maximum admission quota of 5% of the total quota of the major/group of majors. Each school is only allowed to nominate and introduce 1 student from the group of 5 students with the highest average score of 3 years of high school. Candidates are only allowed to register a maximum of 3 major/group of majors at 1 member unit or affiliated with Ho Chi Minh City National University.
The priority admission method according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University applies to students studying at 149 high schools according to the announced list. Candidates can register an unlimited number of wishes and an unlimited number of units (but the order of wishes is distinguished).
Candidates register for admission online at dangky.tuyensinh.vnuhcm.edu.vn. After successfully registering, candidates print the application form, sign and confirm the information of the high school they are attending and submit the application directly or by post to the unit they want to apply for.
Ho Chi Minh City National University will accept applications for both direct admission and priority admission methods from May 15 to June 15 and is expected to announce admission results before June 22.
